Then again, I'm not sure I'm using the term the way others do. I put the women in positions of decision making and control of their own choices.

Just finished it. I liked it. The humiliation scene was well played. Thank you.I have one, but its extreme. I was pissed off in general when I wrote it.
Thanks, it was a bit hell hath fury over the top, but that's what most of the BTB stories are so I was making a point.Just finished it. I liked it. The humiliation scene was well played. Thank you.
That's precisely what I like. There's a challenge to destroying the life without pulling yourself down with them. Thanks, it was a bit hell hath fury over the top, but that's what most of the BTB stories are so I was making a point.
The comments are hilarious "and then Greg called the cops and her and Chad were arrested and...." or the "And then Greg found Chad and..."That's precisely what I like. There's a challenge to destroying the life without pulling yourself down with them.
My story "Cheated Wives Club" was rated 4.0 with 105 votes and over 9K views, and no wife-bashing comments in LW.I recently posted one in LW, designed to piss off a certain segment of commenters. It did, and my initial scores were under 2, but have climbed to 2.4 as others have read and saved my story to favorites. The frustrating thing? I opened with an essay type opening, talking about infidelity in the real world, and even quoted Robert Heinlein, as to the fact that monogamy was a cultural and social construct, then when into the fact that I had been with 14 married women, and why and how, and even blamed men for breaking their marriage vows first, by not giving her what he promised in his vows. They went apeshit crazy, not even bothering to have read or commented on the first half of the story.
My question is this. Why, when here on Lit, we have rape, murder, non-consent, fetish, incest, and other kinky things, is infidelity, especially by women, the only unpardonable sin?
If you post a good story of a loving wife and there's no cheating, it may do well in Loving Wives. My question about Loving Wives, is there a good category for genuinely loving wives? Romance doesn't seem quite right for an erotica story and Erotic Couplings doesn't seem to do the subject justice.
Sometimes the comments on these stories say more about the guy commenting than the story.I've often read negative things on here about how harsh LW readers can be, so I decided to run a little experiment based upon what I've read in the forums.
I knocked up a simple short story, I put very little effort into it, and most was written while a tad tipsy. It touched on stuff I know LW readers just love. The husband was loyal and hard working but unsuccessful in his career. While his wife dealt with his failure by paying homeless guys to have sex with her. I knew LW readers love a happy ending, so I had her discover STD clinics are a great place to pick up hot guys.
I expected it to bomb, but it actually did better than I thought.
in less than a week, it racked up 19.1k views, that's more than some of my good stories.
It had 565 votes, that's nearly 3% of readers, a lot higher than usual. The score of 2.8 is low, but I was honestly expecting 1%. I think this proves many LW readers fantasy about hobosexuality. It also suggests it's OK to cheat if they are lower than your husband.
There were 21 comments. Usually, I just get a few the first week. Surprisingly, a few were actually positive telling me they gave me 5 stars. Most weren't as nice, but at least they took the time, which means I must have touched them and improved their lives, and isn't that what it's all about?
I'll definitely be writing another LW story, this time sober and actually putting effort into it, perhaps a nice sharing one.

Did you mean to say “no cheating” or “no extramarital sex?”If you post a good story of a loving wife and there's no cheating, it may do well in Loving Wives
In my LW story published just less than two years ago, there's extra-marital sex but no cheating:Did you mean to say “no cheating” or “no extramarital sex?”
Because the entire premise of the category according to its description was supposed to have been about consensual extramarital stuff. But that’s “cheating” no matter how mutually consensual, according to the readers who comment.
Heh. Loving Two Wives! In my LW story published just less than two years ago, there's extra-marital sex but no cheating:
"A Dare at the Nude Resort" "Husband watches his horny wife and her boy-toy in a restroom."
It's rated 4.13/263 with over 36K views.
So, there's some flexibility to the LW audience. Sometimes, it's about balance. At the end of the story, the MC husband is told to save his energy, because in another week, he will be doing his wife and the other guy's young wife in a threesome.
Based on a few of the comments I've received in LW on my stories in the past, I think there's a portion of the "monogamy-only" faction who hate the idea of "sharing" the wife because of what they see as an imbalance. They probably believe that if they allow it, the wife can get far more sex than the husband.Heh. Loving Two Wives!
I'm not sure it is the sin itself but the way it is presented that is unpardonable. I have thought about writing a story from my irl experience but I'm sure it would seem unrealistic to many readers. I am. Not against wives cheating when it is merited, that is not always so simple to determine however.I recently posted one in LW, designed to piss off a certain segment of commenters. I haven't read that one because it's a Long BTB story and that's why it does well in LW. Being a story about military service-connected disability is also a plus to defuse the 1-bombers.Readers here…. I think it’s worth looking at @UpperNorthLeft’s ‘Out On A Limb’ (just released) to see LW at its most wholesome best. Massive engagement, huge number of comments that are largely very positive but that include fair criticisms, and a score that puts it up with a good romance in any other category but is above 99th percentile in LW. If you looked at that story in isolation, I don’t think you’d hesitate to dip your toe in the water.
Your one's now on my list, and I don't doubt that it's good. Yes, the above story does defuse the 1-bombers, which is rather apt given the source of the injury in question. And agreed that anything that smells like extra-marital sex will inflame some of them. My point is that the landmines can be navigated to unveil the warm, vulnerable hearts of most of the readership. And congratulations to @UpperNorthLeft for doing this so successfully.I haven't read that one because it's a Long BTB story and that's why it does well in LW. If you want to see an average LW reaction to a similar military service story, try my story "A Band of Sisters and Brothers". It's a gangbang/sharing story. One comment says:
"I wish you had warned us this was cuck shit. I’m glad I skipped a bunch of pages."
So, they HATE extra-marital sex.
The Burn The Bitch stories are the ones which are most likely to earn a Red-H in LW.
But avoiding the landmines by writing the stories one faction (monogamy-only!) wants does a disservice to the others who WANT the extra-marital sex, sharing, and fun.Your one's now on my list, and I don't doubt that it's good.
