I guess maybe by lifestyle, most of my female characters might fit the 'soccer mom' moniker, but I don't write them that way intentionally.

Bottom line though is I dislike them intensely. I blame them for many of today's ills.

I'm toying with a idea of taking one down, knocking her off her self imagined pedestal. But I'm not sure how to do it without going NonCon, which is one of the hardest of hard nos for me.

Single Girl vs Soccer Mom (and her family).

Maybe they've known each other their whole lives, and were once more or less equal in all things - money, looks, boys, etc. Maybe they were classmates in high school or college. Maybe cheerleaders. Maybe cousins. Maybe even sisters.

Over the years, Mom put on a couple of pounds - doesn't have time for the gym - doesn't have as much time to preen in front of the mirror - drives a minivan, of course.

Single Girl suffers none of those limitations. Maybe she has an exciting job making twice the money the dad does - or more. Maybe she gets to travel the world and interact with celebrities. She doesn't drive a minivan, but something much sportier and sexier.

Soccer Mom's husband isn't unfaithful to her (yet) - he's a good husband, good provider, good father, etc - but when he tries to chat with Single Girl he gets all tongue twisted and makes a fool of himself in front of everyone, humiliating the wife to no end.

Soccer Mom's kids idolize Single Girl and her lifestyle.

Does Soccer Mom have an 18 year old son? He forgets all the promises he made to Mom to work on cleaning out the garage, or to pick up the younger ones from soccer practice, or to pick up Soccer Mom at the airport - when Single Girl asks him so sweetly for a little help rearranging her furniture.

Does Soccer Mom have an 18 year old daughter? Single Girl is now her new best friend and role model - giving her all sorts of advice on clothes and hair and makeup and how to handle boys -- and girls?

Single Girl's motivation for doing all this? You tell me.

I'm thinking more like ending up having to thumb rides to her job as a dishwasher at the dive bar across from the entrance to the country club she used to drive her new every year Escalade to.

Personally I don't find "moral corruption" stories to be enjoyable, though that's one way to go....

What about forcing her into a situation that broadens her horizons in different ways?

An upper-middle class white lady with a closely valued reputation in her HOA and school board gets her life turned upside down when her husband goes to jail for securities fraud or something, and suddenly all of her high class friends are avoiding her.

The only people that will give her the time of day are the people she would have turned her nose up at six months ago. The brown immigrant family that moved into the neighborhood recently. The lesbian couple that are "always causing trouble," at the school board meetings. The trans woman that the HOA hates because of her yard decorations.

Maybe she learns some things about her preconceptions, and about herself 🥰

I think Penny's slant on this is a good one.

I think the sexy fun of it would be that you can flirt with reluctance and consent in a way that doesn't feel skeezy.

She's not reluctant because someone is pressuring or blackmailing her into sex, she's reluctant because she's a bit afraid of the lesbian couple or the trans neighbor, and afraid of her own attraction to them. But she's lonely, she's hurt and betrayed, and she's increasingly horny and sexually frustrated because of her circumstances... 😈

This is a good articulation of what I liked about it. Blackmail or coercion feels so very overdone, and maybe it's the state of the world, but things that are about reaching out and expanding one's horizons organically just feels...better?

If she's a literal soccer mom, you could have her forced to socialize with the other soccer parents.

Say, one of them is half of a two-dads couple. And that guy's son is the best player on the team, so she can't snub him without risking her kid's status. And they "click", it turns out, once she actually lets her guard down after a dramatic soccer win. And one thing leads to another leads to finding herself between the two men in a bed ....

Maybe the MC (another mom) finds out that this queen soccer mom is a bit of a philanderer and has a 'type' of guy she can't resist. But she's very careful with her cheating. Remote locations, no photos, rock solid alibi's and an IUD and standard birth control. She's got too much to lose to getting knocked up.

So the MC hires a young man, who's happy to help and he inserts himself into her social circle and begins the seduction.

The MC desides that a tracker in the young mans wallet and a drone camera are the way to go here.

The queen and her new young friend have several hook ups, and each is recorded, but our MC finds that watching is such a turn on that she can't help but fuck the other young man who's operating the drone for her.
