I don't think you’re intimidating, I'd approach you with my best line " yo baby yo " and if you walk away " please baby please "My closest friends and family are the ones that know me best, so they don't have any misconceptions about me, as I am my most comfortable/vulnerable/truthful around them.
People who don't know me as well? I've been called aloof and intimidating, particularly by men I've worked with (although that's generally a reflection of how they feel, not about how I feel about myself). I think that sometimes, people project certain traits on me because of how I look (resting bitch face) + my slightly reserved nature when meeting someone for the first time.
I've been told I'm an introvert with a loud personality; I don't think some people know how to handle a person that is both introverted, yet opinionated. I'm not shy (which is a big misconception about introverts), but I typically reserve my thoughts/opinions until I've observed someone or something for a bit.
