Trump’s dementia goes off the rails.

John G Trump earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (1929)
masters degree in physics (1931), and his doctorate in electrical engineering in 1933...

which is not quite the same as 'physics, nuclear and math' and only goes to underline trump's fucking ignorance over stuff he's not really interested in (aka other people) and only takes on enough basic information (which he gets wrong anyway) if he can spin it to make himself look better somehow.

What's your degree in? Gold digging? Lol. :)

If I were being extremely generous, perhaps John Trump was interviewed by the FBI while they were trying to find the Unabomber. They cast a very wide net and had a look at just about everyone who was exceptionally knowledgeable about math or engineering. I could see Twitler hearing about that and working it all up in his imagination to what he now says happened.

Even if we were being that generous, John Trump died in 1985, about 11 years before he was ever known as the Unabomber. Also, the Unabomber was never John Trump’s student or attended the college where John Trump taught.

You wouldn’t know this because you’re not well informed but most of America disapproves of Trump. Trump is really struggling.
Dude u have sone serious issues if you actually believe that. 75-80% of America are in Agreement with Trumps agenda. Even your fake news CNN constantly reports these figures. Why cause he’s rounding up murderers, child molesters, and sending them back to the countries that they should’ve stayed in?

I'm aware. My point is, the FBI interviewed a lot of math- and engineering-experts, both to eliminate them as suspects and in hope that they might be reminded of a former student who might be the culprit. Since the Unabomber had been active for several years before 1985, it's possible that John Trump was among those they interviewed, and it certainly was plausible that the Unabomber might have been a former MIT student (although that turned out not to be the case). What I'm thinking is, maybe the FBI interviewed Uncle John and Twitler heard about that, and imagined the rest. He does that a lot, starting with a tiny kernel of truth and making up all sorts of nonsense around it.

I don't know or care where you got those numbers, but the opposite is closer to the truth at this point. Even a lot of people who voted for him are now decrying what he's doing (but they still support him because he validates their bigotry).

Here's the thing about "Numbers."

You interview 100 white men from Torsofuck, Arkansas, and you will probably get numbers like "80% of Americans strongly support what Trump is doing."

You go to Oakland California and interview 100 people there, and you will probably get numbers like, "98% of Americans strongly DISPROVE of what Trump is doing."

If you sample many demographics across the country- rural, urban, from the south, the coast, the intermountain west or the industrial upper midwest, women, men, old and young, you will get a better picture of how the average American feels about what is happening- keeping in mind that there is no such thing as the Average American.

Most of these poll takers don't do this. So people pick and choose which poll to believe. Lemme guess; to nobody's great surprise the newest Hisarpy alt above (what happened to PinkHobbyHorse?, dude? You already got tired of that one?) almost certainly picked the "70-80% of America..." poll that was taken in Torsofuck Arkansas. I could cite a poll taken in Chicago showing the exact opposite, but I'm pretty sick of wasting air trying to explain stuff to that dude, no matter what he calls himself, because he'd miss the point anyway.

Damn, that's really reaching for a brass ring, Bubba. Your regular thinking has got to be better than grasping at straws like this. This makes you sound mAgA.

I don't see what's unreasonable about it. It's a matter of public record that the FBI interviewed hundreds - maybe thousands - of math experts after they determined correctly that the Unabomber was one. And Trump does have a very long history of embellishing things out of all proportion (see trans rights - some schools allow for kids to use the appropriate bathroom, and the next thing you know Trump is claiming they're performing gender reassignment surgery in the nurse's office).

but didn't that determination happen after the death of trump's uncle, which happened 11 years before they caught him???

I don't know when it happened, but it was definitely well before they caught him. I do remember by the early '90s they had deduced - correctly - that he was from Chicago. I know a guy from Scotland who was interviewed about it well before then.

And I did say, "if I'm being extremely generous". I'm not saying it's likely, just possible that this could be the root of this particular delusion of Trump's. Usually if you dig deep enough, there's something that they grew out of. He doesn't imagine all this stuff entirely out of whole cloth.

There should be another debate between Don & Joe. Joe would show you what dementia really looks like. :)

ok, so this from FBI:

The man that the world would eventually know as Theodore Kaczynski came to our attention in 1978 with the explosion of his first, primitive homemade bomb at a Chicago university. Over the next 17 years, he mailed or hand delivered a series of increasingly sophisticated bombs that killed three Americans and injured nearly two dozen more. Along the way, he sowed fear and panic, even threatening to blow up airliners in flight.

In 1979, an FBI-led task force that included the ATF and U.S. Postal Inspection Service was formed to investigate the “UNABOM” case, code-named for the UNiversity and Airline BOMbing targets involved. The task force would grow to more than 150 full-time investigators, analysts, and others. In search of clues, the team made every possible forensic examination of recovered bomb components and studied the lives of victims in minute detail. These efforts proved of little use in identifying the bomber, who took pains to leave no forensic evidence, building his bombs essentially from “scrap” materials available almost anywhere. And the victims, investigators later learned, were chosen randomly from library research.

there's a brief window of, what, 6 years? Right now I can't find more about a list of people the FBI interviewed about the unabomber or if J.G.Trump was one of those people... a slim, but possible, chance. It wasn't till 1995, 10 years after J.G.Trump's death that the unabomber's large essay was published in case people could identify who it was.

Okay, that part is meaningful context for me. The FBI conducted its investigation in a methodical and thorough manner. If you had a record of some interview of John Trump that would have lended credibility to the president's story.

The choking point, though, is that your statement gives Trump some benefit of the doubt in a concocted story that falls outside the realm of truthfulness. You lend credence to the idea that the FBI could have interviewed his Uncle John at that time about the Unabomber. MAGA nuts will point to that and say, 'See, it was true!' Sure, but that's just as far-fetched as Trump's press secretary defending his story as real, not imaginary. Your willingness to provide one dot to any idea that the president's imagination isn't borderline delusional is what is exasperating.

That's more like it! ;):giggle:

Trump's cult doesn't need any justification for believing in his nonsense. If he says it, they believe it, period. Besides, what I said there was a slight possibility of having happened is still very, very different from what he claims happened. I said the FBI might have interviewed him about the bombings. Trump said he was Kaczynski's professor at a school Kaczynski never attended, and that he told him about it years after he died.

Let it go, accept they’re both past their best days and look to the future. Find or at least look for a leader who can represent all equally.

If he lives until the end of his term, Trump with be the oldest President ever.

I think he’ll stroke out before that.

Ankles that swollen aren’t good.

Where will Melania wind up?

Austria or Switzerland would be my guess.

The Red Sparrow will fly home if her mission is deemed to be completed…

The Kremlin may have plans for Barron, though, so mama sparrow’s mission may not be completed just yet…

We. Told. Them. So.

Trump supporters will die on their hill over this every damned day.

If you could replace a failing leader with one who can represent all equally by tomorrow, I'd say let's move on. But that's a plea for reason among those without reasoning ability.

No, we are stuck with a nut in charge that has over three more years of insanity to drive a noble nation into the ground.

Sorry to burst your plea, Sonny.:eek:
