In the news.

I have no idea wat this thread is about. I may have heard of the band, but have never heard anything by them.

I don't mind saying: I think Coldplay gets a bad rap. They're not the greatest band of all time, but they're not stooges. They're an accomplished pop-rock band with a variety of smart, melodic songs that encompass a lot of different sounds. I saw them in concert once and they put on a decent show.

A measured, reasonable take?

Are you sure you belong on the internet?

TL: DR: A CEO for a tech co. got busted canoodling with his head of HR (both of whom are married) on Coldplay's version of a kiss cam.

They very much acted deer in headlights and suspicious in the moment which fuels the memes.

*edit* Even the band's front man called it out real time.

“Oh, either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy,” frontman Chris Martin quipped, per social media footage.

I'm not looking in Simon's drawers.

Ehh, 'nother day on the web.

Making a CEO's life harder is just the icing on the cake, honestly. Good for these lads.
I don't think it was intentional, they don't control the kiss cam. This was just an example of Lady karma deciding to dole out some of her namesake.

Two married people carrying on in a public event is not the brightest thing to do.

They're not my type of music so I can't speak to whether they're good or bad. I'll probably get mocked for this but I never got the hate for Nickelback. They're not the greatest, but they have some good songs and put on a good show the first time I saw them when they opened for Bon Jovi(who I've seen six, yes six, times because he's my wife's fav) however, the second time I saw them Chad was drunk and it was not cool. But musically I never understood the backlash to them.

While no one really admits to loving Coldplay, I don’t think it’s very likely you get flak if you say you like them.

Indeed, if you are getting laughed at, then you probably messed up and accidentally said you like Nickelback.

Considering the evil going on in the world right now, Nickelback is damn near honorable.
