Did everyone survive the week?
Let's check in...

Is this a tease? Because this feels a bit like a tease ;)

Thank fuck!

Yeah. Ya know, just once I'd like to change it up and try a good MMF. Compare notes... you know, like deciding between strawberry and chocolate in the Neapolitan pint. 🍨 :ROFLMAO:

They do say, "Well behaved women rarely make history".

📚 :geek: Did someone say books??
Enjoy the festival and your time with your Goddess!!!
I wouldn't mind an ISBN or two when time permits.

💯 Start hitting that Bucket List

As did I - but branch out from there. So much more to Scotland than just Auld Reekie. Although - best TexMex I ever had, too

Yes - nurses are amazing and put up with an awful lot of awful at times 🤗 👩‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️

1st knee replacement I went to transitional care for @ a week before going home. I had long hair then and knew I might not get an actual shower until I got home. So I put it back in a braid. One of the nurses asked me on day 4 if I'd like my hair washed. 🥰 🥰 🥰
I was fine w/ hobo baths until I got home, but that shampoo? 🤌

Where do you find the time and energy, Rj? Wow

Fragile patients - yeah, yeah, yeah
We all know the real reason...

 I think you're doing it wrong???

While I have discovered I'm incompatible with most "Southern" foods, grits are a delicious delivery system for garlic and cheese... just keep your shrimps to yourself s'il vous plaît 🍤 😂

What? No biting? When did this start?
*re-reads the rules*
*harrumph!* no biting, my ass

Did I read my Spooners in Arms don’t like melons? 🍉 🍈. I’m just gonna lay this out there…y’all don’t live in the south! 🤣. It’s too damn hot down here to NOT eat any kind of melon or citrus fruit! Watermelon with salt sprinkled…oh yeah! Cantalope…sprinkle a tad of sugar….😍

I really really want to go see that.

Love them all!

Don't like seeds in my watermelon, though
Same
I've never even heard of a balonga! Is it native to America? More pertinently, why would you eat its balls?? I really do worry about you guys sometimes. All the time really!!
you are correct as bologna is a perversion of food

I hope your nephrologist has you seeing a renal dietician. You will need to limit or avoid foods with high amounts of sodium, meaning almost all prepared/processed foods including bacon, sausage, lunch meats. Limit or avoid foods that are high in potassium. Many fruits fall into this category. High phosphorus foods such as processed cheese and cola should be avoided.

Foods you should include are fruits and vegetables that are lower in potassium, whole grains like brown rice, amaranth, quinoa, and oats. Watch your protein amount.
Thanks I needed that. You will not believe my latest lab results as my GFR went back to normal! I wonder if the preceding result was a lab error. But on the side of caution I am proceeding with diet for renal disease. I am type 2 diabetic so it’s a good idea. The kidney ultrasound is scheduled and it may help with why I have some pain on the left portion of my back.

We need more data.

There are new studies saying that the gfr is not as accurate for diagnosing renal failure as previously thought.... I haven't looked in to it but I will

Thank you. Maybe the ultrasound is better. Regardless, I’m cutting back on salt and potassium, processed foods and smaller meat portions (more chicken and less beef).
