Regarding incestuous relationships in stories

Hello you beautiful people.

I haven't published here in a few years but I have quite a few stories ready and I'm going to start sharing again.

The last one I wrote, well still writing (22K words, I expect it will be around 30K) features an incestuous but fully consensual mother-daughter relationship. The Mom is in her late 30s, the daughter is 19. The story aims at (among other things) exploring the nature and the reason behind this relationship. It's not just there "to be there".

Is this sort of thing ok here? I haven't found anything that said it wasn't but I'd hate to be banned just for that.

Thank you. I can't wait to share.

What you can't post here is; Anything sexual involving someone under the age of 18, or that acts too much like they're under 18. Rape where the victim doesn't enjoy it. Overly political stories. Stories that promote a real word religion. And, stories that were written in whole or part by AI.

The worst that'll happen with trying to post an T/I story is if you don't put it in the T/I category it might get placed there anyways.

Some incest stories (and other stories) delve into the psychology behind the relationship. Others just go for the sex. Both types do well here at Literotica. Go for it and write what you want!

Also, no snuff and no bestiality. Although magical sentient animals don't seem to fall under bestiality.

Thank you for the answers. Most of what you listed here doesn't appeal to me anyway so, no worries.

I tend to write stories happening from the point of view of a male protagonist, often (but not always) left intentionally anonymous to facilitate immersion. I love to have the story characters evolve over the course of these short stories.

There's lots of internal monologue and lots, LOTS of world building context when I write as a result of decades of writing non-erotic works as well.

As my username suggests, velour/velvet is always involved. I take my fetish very seriously. I used to believe that my stories were too kinky and ritualized until one of my friend who has far more experience consuming erotica material told me "Honey, you're a summer child. What you write is so harmless, it's almost cute."

Ok then :D

I think your story will do fine and be received well.

That's exactly the kind of story I am searching for these days (hopefully it's mom-son version will come in the future). Please do finish it and publish

Slow burn incest stories that portray the buildup and the breaking through the taboo are one of, if not the most popular stories in T/I. Sure, "one day I noticed my sister is hot" is all good and does fine, but the highest rated stories are by and large those with lots of emotional analysis and relatable characters.

That`s pretty much where I`m heading. My stories are all "story-heavy". The sex is just an added bonus, another reason for me to write.

I have just submitted part 1 of 4. I split it in 4 parts because I felt people might be discouraged with a 70 pages story in one chink. Was this a good move?

Also, is it frowned upon here to submit a second or even several more pieces of work while one is being reviewed by the staff?

One final question: is there a way to encourage feedback and discussion when our work is published? My earlier stuff was super-well rated but never discussed.

Thank you!

Depends on the reader, some prefer it all in one lump others prefer to have it spread out. I couldn't tell you which group is bigger. However, somewhere around 3500-4000 words is a lit page.

No there's no problem with that, however if you're submitting more than one that are obviously in the same series they won't go live on the same day unless you put in a note to the editor asking that they do so.

There are many theories on that, ranging from putting a note in your profile to where to put it in your story. Personally I don't believe it makes a difference. However if you make a thread for your story (after it's been published) in the feedback forum you should get at least one person giving you feedback on it.

You might want to go lurking in the Authors Hangout as well, some of the threads there will answer questions that you'll never think to ask.

Thank you very much for your kind and complete answer.

As it stands, my current story is cut in 4 pieces of about 7500 words each.

I read one of OverconfidentSarcasm's series on storiesonline, and it details the psychological defence against incestuous relationships, namely the Watermarck effect.

Yeah, swing for the fences. So long as everyone's above the age of consent, anything goes (including a complete lack of consent).

I kept the relationships vague in my first one and found that the readers don't like that. I might just go full motherfucker on my next one.
