Democrats criticize JK Rowling for this photo. Does it bother you too?

You don't understand what a vanity thread is apparently.
Lol. Maybe you don't. In every online news/current events/politics forum in which I have ever participated since the 1980s it is a thread started without any reference to a current news article. Just for the purpose of making the OP's opinion known and to bait further argument on various beliefs not related to any cited article.

A.vanity thread is a thread in a forum about a.specific user.

Hope this helps 👍

Lol. Nope. It has never been that. Vanity in this context means starting a thread because you like to "hear yourself speak".

I really do hope that helps. 👍

Lol. If that helps to make yourself feel superior you do you Lonesome Loser.
Cool

You can't spend time wondering why people aren't banned for things they aren't doing, as needed 👍

Btw - there is no rule against vanity threads

Why would I need to ask someone else when the rules are available to everyone?

Politruk was likely banned for spamming the forum.
Well eventually you can't tell the difference between incessant vanity threads and spam.

Maybe there is no rule here against starting a thread without citing an article? I assumed there was since Politruk was banned. In many other online politics discussion forums that is always a rule.

I don't have an issue understanding the difference.

I provided a link to the rules. It's also available at the bottom of the site for your convenience Feel free to spend time reviewing them instead of just guessing because you were on other sites that have different rules. 👍

Guess this is the closest it gets:

Flooding the forum with posts, screen-breaking text, or images - or bumping old threads - and/or any non-substantive activity with the intent of disrupting the forum is prohibited.

Vanity threads aren't against the rules.

Many threads here are non substantive.
