To return to the original topic of this thread, there might be a danger of corruption and exploitation in the porn industry but you have to take into account that the anti porn people simply can't be trusted. They have been known to distort the facts and simply lie. Then people who already hate porn believe their lies without fact checking them and go on a moral crusade. Ever heard of Mumsnet? British forum full of the type of feminists who are anti porn, anti trans, and pretty much anti men. Here's a thread where they're wailing about an obviously false article they found that claims (I shit you not) that pornhub has a category for Ukrainian war rape victims.

Post after post about the evils of porn until one of them takes five fucking seconds out of their lives to check and find out that of fucking course pornhub doesn't have a category for Ukrainian war rape victims. Jesus fucking Christ, even if the owners of Pornhub were complete sociopaths with no regard for human life they would never have a category like that because that would be a fucking idiotic thing for a legal site to do. And yet they initially bought it hook line and sinker. This is the gulibility of the anti porn crowd, so make sure you fact check everything they say.

I think "gullibility" is the operating principle of almost every crowd I've seen on the Internet. "Confirmation bias" might be the more correct term: people tend to believe whatever facts fit their preexisting ideological beliefs. This is true of the left, the right, and everything in between.
