Story Still Pending

Hello lovely people. I was wondering if any of you could shed any light on possible delay in stories stuck on pending just lately.

I submitted a story that is the fourth part of a series 10 days ago. However, the story is still labelled as pending. My other stories usually cleared pending after around 3-4 days.

Is it normal to still be pending after 10 days? If not, does anyone have any suggestions about what to do next?

Wait 2-3 more days (basically until EOD Monday). Nude Day contest deadline is today, so they probably worked to clear that backlog first.

I know how you feel, my story has been pending for 22 days, I submitted 06/17/2025, 06/25/2025 I was told stories do fall through the cracks, and should resubmit, so I did. From resubmit till today has been 13 days. And they should not tell me to PM Laurel, because I'm still waiting on a reply after two PM's.

Laurel is the site owner, she is the person who approves/rejects all stories.

Click on the envelope symbol and type her name (which is Laurel, not Laura)

Laurel is the one who runs the site and has eventual responsibility for approving all stories submitted. You can message anyone by clicking on the envelope next to your name and clicking on start conversation. Her user name is just Laurel.

Being polite and respectful is always a good idea. I have never messaged her, but by most accounts, she rarely replies, but can fix the issue.

Well it’s been two weeks with my story stuck in pending. I can only assume that the site has a backlog of stories to approve.

It is a bit disheartening though as it’s part of a series and I don’t want to submit more chapters until this one is published. I really don’t want to re-submit the story either, as it could end up being another long wait. x

Mine is part of a series as well, today it's been 16 days.

You could include a note with the next chapter, saying, please don't publish until the previous one is up.

What's even more frustrating, is that I'm an editor. The story I edited two days ago has been published. All in all my story has been pending 24 days now. I was told to contact Laurel and/or resubmit, I did both and till today nobody can give me a sensible or reasonable answer. Okay, I was told there's a competition going and they get preference. My question is why? Is my writing substandard or not good enough. I'm starting to understand why 4 people I used to edit went to another site which I prefer not to mention, and their work has all been published there.

I've had 1 of my 99 submissions take 49 days, so just sit tight.

Even if she doesn’t answer, people reported their stories moving forward after they DM’d her.
