Shill, baby, shill! Lowest oil drilling in 4 years; Deplorables duped hourly by this administration

The US oil production record was broken in April. Low oil prices and higher production from OPEC are expected to slow US production in the near term which is fine. We all like low oil prices.

Thanks to a more favorable regulatory environment and opening up of new lands for drilling under the Trump administration, the US is better positioned to drill as much oil as economic conditions and future demand warrant. 🇺🇸

Article: Prices are down, so it is not as economical to drill. So rigs are down around 10%. But America is still drilling enormous amounts, making us almost completely self-reliant.
Do liberals even read?

Your boy Donnie pretends that he can control what oil companies do. That was the basis of his “drill baby drill” pledge.

But Donnie can’t control what oil companies do, as demonstrated by the shrinking number of operating oil rigs. So we are making fun of him and his “drill baby drill” nonsense.

Admit it. Delusional Donnie is funny. 😄

Donnie didn’t talk about how many rigs were required and he didn’t talk about forcing energy producers to drill. He promised to remove regulatory barriers and open up more federal land to “drill baby, drill.” The purpose isn’t to sell more rigs. It’s to provide energy security and keep prices low.

The US has just broken a production record, and oil & gasoline prices are very low (except in California and a couple of other blue states of course 😂

👍🇺🇸👍

Delusional Donnie: “Drill baby drill!”
US Oil Companies: “Yeah, no.”
BabyBoom: “wInNiNg!”

I was discussing the OP.

Meanwhile, you were not.

You accused me of wanting SpaceX to fail despite the fact that I was the first person on Lit to:

*Tout the Starship program
*Make a PB thread dedicated to tracking its progress
*Defend the program against detractors.

Evidence of this was shown to you. Your response was not to admit your mistake, but to double down on stupid to protect your feel feels. Whereas I have issued many mea culpas on here.

From respectable to busybody - quite the slide! 😲

Neat! What's the thread about again?

I’m guessing because more oil production is a good thing?
For who and at what cost? China is literally embarrassing our EV production because they don't want to be beholden to big oil. Your president is selling EVs from the White House lawn.

For us.

I give zero fucks about China. ICE (not to be confused with the other ICE) are a tried and true way of moving things around. And we have the infrastructure for it already in place. The world largely runs on gas.

EVs? EVs still use other resources, such as oil, to produce. I think wind and solar are viable supplements to our current system and we should expand them as much as possible. But we need fuel. Period.

If we can produce more with less, it sounds like a good thing to me. And future proofing if our needs increase.

🙄

Yeah, “it SOUNDS like a good thing”:

Meanwhile:

Deregulation, moar orphan wells with no cleanup plan, more polluting of the land, air, and sea, more anthropogenic climate change exacerbated weather events, and ZERO accountability for the oil companies, etc, who HID INFORMATION FROM THE GOVERNMENT ABOUT THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF CARBON EMISSIONS RELATED TO THE BURNING OF FOSSIL FUELLS, ETC.

Yeah, that ^ “sounds like a good thing”…

😑

🤬

We. Told. Them. So.

Have you ever driven a car? Have you ever benefited from gas powered vehicles that delivered something you needed? If you couldn't get what you needed, would you be worrying about anything else?

Yes, Captain Obvious, thank you.

Everyone gives a fuck about China.
