Spoke with her yesterday and she felt better. She and her doc agreed she could come in for her checkup next week so all good signs. Pacemakers are pretty invasive procedures it turns out. I’m on the way home today so will have a much better feel for what’s going on…even though I’ve talked to her everyday.

Heading out to jump on the Big Ol’ Jet Airliner…talk later. More desert MZ——-though I can’t take credit for these shots!

I need someone really rich to sponsor 5000 for my pleasantville music and food festival in august.... some of our sponsors promised but are now ghosting us.... oh and for some rich people to offer services/products for the silent auction.... all the proceeds go back into the community. We have supported a habitat home, the local baseball league and 4 schools in the district (art program, secret santa buddies for underprivileged kids, reading program and the music boosters (buy instruments and supplies)

I need my back porch and screen door fixed/removed and for the guys I make appointments for quotes to show up.

I need my family...scratch that...that situation will never be fixed.

I need my yard to be mowed before it gets 4 feet tall.... I have asked if it is too much for the guys and they are like no no no.... I want it done on my schedule....probably selfish of me..

I need to be grateful and not bitch so much

Dropped off my grandkids this morning and then my son and I got IHop breakfast. After that we went to the new Jurassic Park movie. Much better than previous ones.

As I approach the third anniversary of my wife’s passing, I find I am having short but intense moments of sadness. I will never forget.

Yes I have. The other therapists listened better but my PT likes to push the envelope. I will give it a week. Then I may request another PT.

Don't give it any more time than you're comfortable doing. The therapist is there for you, not the other way around.

Another day (mostly) in the books.

Another early day of meetings at the office. Corporate zombies were wanting everything from me, including my boss, who was back from two weeks of vacation.

I had two MRIs tonite for my bad back and hip pain issues. (Lumbar and pelvis)

Had a nice dinner w Mrs wonderer after.

Long fuckin days.

More of the same the next two days.

Our big leadership sales meeting that our teams hosts and plans is the end of this month w 150 sales leaders from all over the world.

And my big project is saving bureaucratic challenges but is still supposed to go live on August 1st.

There’s just a little happening the next few weeks!!

That's not always a good match.
Every PT I have ever had has always had to work to get me to slow down. Sometimes pushing the envelope too hard or too soon does more harm that good. If the PT can't see that?

Hopefully you’re feeling better. My stomach is still bothering me a little bit too.

Grief is a wave... sometimes gentle and other times come out of nowhere and leaves you sputtering on your ass. We do our best to roll with it and keep breathing. Hopefully once this wave passes the memories will be a comfort once more.

I'm generally that way, as well. I also always get a written bid. I didn't in this instance because my neighbor was so happy with him. He's also done work for her mother, who I know.

I could press it but I do know he did a lot of extra work. I'll see what his written invoice looks like. I've been keeping track of the amount of time spent here. I've already told him there will be some negotiation.

That's always a challenge. Staying positive and not burning out when you give your all and do everything right on your side of the equation but the train still flies off the rails. Hard not to pick up that baggage as your own... but when you learn how not to it can really be a game changer.
