Happy No Kings Day!

What you call “fraud prevention” is just regular code for gutting vital programs under the guise of efficiency.
Nope, fraud prevention means exactly that, eliminating fraud so that those in need will have it and those that don't deserve it don't get it.
You act like every Medicaid recipient is a scammer,
Nope!
when the real fraud lies in pretending billionaires need more tax breaks while rural hospitals shut down.
The BBB includes a 50 billion dollar relief fund for rural hospital. I'm sure dems and repubs alike will adjust elevation and windage if it's found that rural hospitals are in financial need.
That is sick. I thank God I have health insurance through my job but many aren't so lucky.
The potential exist for millions to stop sucking off the government teat, get a job with a good chance of getting health care from their employer.

I'm glad you have health care.
You say poverty isn’t a moral failure, ok, cool. But then you turn around and make struggling families jump through hoops just to see a doctor, while corporations legally dodge billions in taxes.
The tax code should definitely be reformed, no doubt. I've been an advocate for tax reform for decades.

The bill hasn't taken effect yet. Don't believe the likes of Hakeem Jeffries, he's a liar.
That’s not moral clarity, that’s selective outrage.
Moral clarity isn't something dems are all too familiar with.
And no, this isn’t about Pelosi or offshore accounts on either side.
You brought up billionaire off shore accounts and I'm sure the dems have their fare share.
It’s about the millions of people who rely on Medicaid to survive, especially in red states throughout the South and Midwest where slashing it would devastate entire communities.
Why would red state politicians advocate for a bill that would slash Medicaid coverage for their poor.
I understand that Medicaid has been cut I trillion over 10 years, (326 billion) on reporting requirements, (190 billion) state tax rate limitations which limits states from taxing healthcare providers to fund state Medicaid programs. (149 billion) restrictions on state directed Medicaid payments. CBO projects a significant increase in Medicaid spending over the next 10 years. 2033 could be as high a 3.3 trillion and you make it sound like the bill slashes Medicaid to the bone.
If you really gave a flipping damn about fiscal responsibility, you’d stop defending bloated military budgets,
The DoD needs to get their house in order, no doubt. Pass an audit, but in today's world situations cutting the mil budget is not in the cards. EU and NATO need a defense posture to meet the Russian aggressor we need to deal with them all: N Korea, China, Russia and Iran.
corporate bailouts, and tax loopholes that cost far more than Medicaid ever has.
I believe congress does have a plan for tax reform.
Not sure what corporate bailouts you're writing about.
You don’t get to scream about deficits while punching down on the poor.
Conservatives are not punching down on the poor. Like SS, Medicare, Medicaid spending need to tighten or everyone loses. There are things we just can't afford. No-one should be denied healthcare but those gaming the system need to be held accountable. Healthcare fraud could be as high as 300 billion annually. Can't sustain that. 14 billion dollar healthcare fraud case just busted by the DOJ. 300 hundred charged
Healthcare isn’t a privilege, it should be a right. And trying to shred that safety net says more about your values than any “fraud” ever could.
No one is trying to shred healthcare. Every time some politician proposes a bill to streamline healthcare that individual is accused of killing millions of poor people. Get real, some tough decisions have to be made for the future of our own children.

My posts violated Lit's rules re: violence. Therefore, I deleted them.

So, to recap, I:

A. Am admitting to the violations.
B. Have deleted the violations.
C: Have not whined about the violations being pointed out.

Meanwhile, we have multiple threads where Deplorables have repeatedly failed at doing any of those three.

I win again. Thanks for setting it up. :D

Actually, good job admitting it, bitchrory.

If the goal is fraud prevention, cool, but let’s be real, what’s being proposed goes way beyond that. Adding all of that red tape, capping funding sources, and restricting state flexibility doesn't just target fraud, it burdens the very people Medicaid was meant to help.

You say no one wants to shred healthcare, but here's the thing, when cuts disproportionately hit poor families, kids, and rural hospitals, that is shredding the safety net, no matter how you package it. Keep it real.

And again, why don’t you spend this much energy attacking the bloated defense budget or tax loopholes for the wealthy? That’s where the real waste is, not in helping people see a doctor.

Actually, it looks like my being the bigger man took the wind out of someone's sails. :(

Funny how that works. :)

Social Security and Medicare are earned benefits, you pay in, you get out. And guess what? Millions of non-citizens do pay payroll taxes with no guarantee of getting those benefits back. That’s money supporting a system they may never use.

Before calling other countries “shitholes,” how about consider how U.S. policies, coups, economic exploitation, and military interference have contributed to their instability? Many people aren’t just fleeing poverty, they’re fleeing chaos America helped create. Your obnoxious xenophobia somehow blocks you from understanding that basic concept.

The real issue is folks punching down while billionaires and big corporations keep dodging taxes and draining public resources.

There are/were MILLIONS of illegal immigrants who are/were getting public benefits, and who NEVER EVER paid a dime into the system. Most of them haven't ever worked or paid taxes but are/were getting FREE house, FREE food, FREE childcare, FREE money compliments of stupid shits like you who prioritize them over your friends and neighbors.

So stop LYING and feeding us obvious bullshit.

As an aside; do you think we could have stopped "child hunger in America" with the money spent on ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS? Yeah, instead of that, let's give money to people who don't need it and let American kids go hungry. THAT is what you FUCKING RACIST BASTARDS have done.

Have we always had the immigrant problem? What was our excuse for not spending money on child hunger back then?

Probably because we weren't big on running up huge deficits for social programs that have gigantic and unsustainable operating costs instead of allowing people to keep their own tax money so they can afford to buy food for their kids.

In the end the Dems let their butt hurt feelings over 2016 overrule their candy asses and America suffered for it. Now it's going to cost us MORE to fix the problems Dems caused. For which you will blame conservatives while KNOWING that you're the real problem the entire time.

Happy “Independence” Day!

877 Military bases in 95 Countries

Lol
That's a good thing. All of those bases were established via treaties. None of them by coercion. Well, maybe not for those in Greenland, Panama, and Canada anymore–those might be 'border'line issues now under the felon. ;)

And Canada?
Yes, Canada maintains military presence and logistical support hubs in several foreign countries. These include locations in Europe, Southwest Asia, the Caribbean, and West Africa. Specifically, Canada has Operational Support Hubs (OSH) in Germany, Kuwait, Jamaica, and Senegal. Additionally, Canada contributes to NATO operations in Europe, including a multinational battle group in Latvia according to Connect2Canada.

More LOL and a HaHaHa also.

The point is… you’re not Independent.

You’re chained to your guns and debt.

Always looking over your shoulder.

National PTSD.

It’s kinda sad.

We just authorized trillions for ICE. It seems that with all that money, we could have fed the poor and provided shelter for homeless veterans. My $0.02.

You sound very angry!
