Being bisexual, I can tell you there is no difference in my orgasm with my husband or my lady lover. Girl on girl is perhaps more intimate with longer periods of kissing and cuddling and the touches are softer especially around my breasts. It's different between the sexes but you can like both gelato and ice cream!

I'm gonna focus on just a particular portion of the questions... & chide those men who believe its fake data. I'll tell ya what's fake... some women's orgasms... because it's necessary to satisfy their male partner's ego, or simply to get their male partner to finish.

This study (sorry, paywall) however suggests that one factor is also "sexual scripts" - women behave a certain way with male partners. They go into encounters expecting less pleasure to begin with, and overall, they expect certain roles for each partner, which just so happen to be less favorable to female orgsams.

So what are your thoughts - should het couples have "more lesbian" sex?
Should both cisgender men and women deconstruct their implicit sexual scripts?
Have you experience doing so?
If you are a woman, do you expect guys to take the initiative in changing the pattern, and vice versa?

It's amazing to me, how many men who've replied here simply want to refute the data/study... & maybe blame "angry lesbians" or some other female-centric bias for skewing the data against men.

It's not just 1 or 2 studies that have found these results. And, anyone with their ear truly to the female ground can tell you, the "orgasm gap", as it's referred to, is very real.
Fellas, if you're sincerely interested in getting women off, just pretend the data is real, & pay attention to the rest of post... even if you think you don't need any improvement (except you, MatureGuy from Wisconsin, & I'd love to meet you IRL).
Are het couple's sexual scripts a barrier to female orgasm? I'd say, YES, very much so. Why? I believe, the most common positive het couple script is that the guy is in charge, so it's his responsibility to make his female partner orgasm.
It's up to both sexes to change the script, but as a woman, I can tell you, I orgasm a lot because I'm willing to take control. (Hence why, doms need not apply.) But it doesn't make me a dom, either.
Can we say, egalitarian sex, please ?? Can we take turns, share, & play nice?? (If it's not your thing, oh well, just don't PM me.)
And pardon me for going off the rails here, but I'd be remiss to not mention the common NOT positive het couple script, in which the guy either doesn't care... or even purposely wants to take without giving... apparently this type of guy gets off extra special on the power trip... basically rape, even though it may lack other violence or force (consensual, up to... WTF was that?). I guess it's surprising, I've only experienced that 2x in my life. (I believe most women have experienced it much more, often repeatedly from their male significant other.) It's the closest thing to rape I've ever experienced... kind of CNC situations... yuck .

I like this post -- a lot! And I say that as a divorced, heterosexual, white anglo Saxon male. There's a lot to be learned here. Men should keep their egos in check when engaging in sexual matters with women. I've found that when I've asked women about their bodies, where their sweet spots are, what gets them turned on, and what sort of stimulation brings them to orgasm, they give every appearance of being relieved, excited, and surprised that a man would take the time to find out.

Can I say that I've brought off every woman I've been with? No. I've brought off some and made others happier. With some I failed. I had one lover who insisted I stimulate her 'g' spot to bring her off. I did and it worked. I had another who insisted that she would only cum if I stimulated her clit with my fingers. I did and it worked. A few others have insisted on oral sex and I has happy to oblige them. In fact, I happen to love eating pussy.
