Because it's impossible to discuss Judaism without it becoming political. Why is a love-hate thread on religion in the Political Board and not the General Board?
BSG made the thread with intention to allow folks to ask questions about Judaism. It is not her fault lance, schism, rob, and the other trolls came out.Why is a love-hate thread on religion in the Political Board and not the General Board?
Because it gives you an opportunity to "white knight" for all things Jewish, Sir Potato Head.MrPotatoHead18230 said:Why is a love-hate thread on religion in the Political Board and not the General Board?
Israel is really good at taking basic rights that apply to all humans and applying them only to Jews. At least now we have an explanation.Islam and Christianity are fan-fic religions. They’re based on the Jewish scripture, but they aren’t canon. The Torah is the first five books of “the Old Testament”. Jewish scripture also includes the Tanakh and the Talmud.
Christianity and Islam both make the mistake of taking laws that were meant to apply only to Jews and saying they’re universal.
Which human rights are you thinking of?Israel is really good at taking basic rights that apply to all humans and applying them only to Jews. At least now we have an explanation.
Like Kabbalah?I am not sure if any of you guys have ever heard of spirituality before ?

No, in Matthew 5:17... Jesus stated that he came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it..... the first 5 books of the Bible are for all people and to emphasize this when Jesus was murdered on the cross the altar and the tapestry was torn in the Temple and the parable of the talents with the master and his 3 servants once again condemns borrowing money with interest..... Matthew 25: 14-30 .........once again borrowing money or borrowing money with interest is a sin, it violates the first commandmentExodus 22:24 only says not to charge other Jews interest on loans. Christians always make the mistake of assuming the laws of the Torah are universal. They were written for Jews and apply only to Jews.

I helped you out. All people should have those!Oh you know. Just the important ones. Life. Liberty. The pursuit of happiness. Functioning hospitals. Employment. Education. Worship. Hate. Murder. Antisemitism. Fear of Jews.
You aren't making any senseI helped you out. All people should have those!
You think Palestinians are not antisemitic? You missed what happened on 10/7? What do you not understand? You aren't making any sense
I didn't make a judgement about Palestinians, I made a judgement about the state of IsraelYou think Palestinians are not antisemitic? You missed what happened on 10/7? What do you not understand?

You didn't answer either of my questions, interesting.I didn't make a judgement about Palestinians, I made a judgement about the state of Israel

Judaism is more about ancestry, customs, and traditions than belief. Some Jews are spiritual, many aren’t. Jews are big on mindfulness—remembering where we come from and our responsibilities to the community and world.Nope, I had a question what do you think are all religions pointing towards including Judaism ? Does following different religions makes us different?
OKay does it have material and non material realities discussed ? Material as in we humans or this whole cosmos but does it have any mention of the non material aspect of this world in Judaism?Judaism is more about ancestry, customs, and traditions than belief. Some Jews are spiritual, many aren’t. Jews are big on mindfulness—remembering where we come from and our responsibilities to the community and world.
You didn't ask a serious question babe. You're arguing in bad faith (again). The state of Israel is treating their Arab citizens badly. They allow racist abuse, they encourage racist abuse. They let beating, murder, intimidation, go unpunished. You already know all this. You just don't care. You didn't answer either of my questions, interesting.

The reason I raised the issue was because the OP pointed out that double standards when it comes to the rights of non Jews are baked into the system. No different to Islam really when you look at the UAE or Saudi. It's just that the UAE and Saudi don't claim to be anything else. Israel likes to pretend it isn't like that.
Anyone can write on wiki, even you, even me.Look at you being funny!….nobody murders more children than Israel.
“ as of 2021, some 2,171 Palestinian children had been killed in the last two decades by Israeli forces, and 139 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinian forces.
Save the Children has estimated that up to 21,000 children have gone missing from the Gaza Strip between October 2023 to June 2024.”
