I saw an interview with a community leader of a hard hit county, and he said they had no advance warning that the storm was going to dump so much rain in such a short period of time, so they didn’t order the evacuation of the summer camps along the river that over flowed its banks.…



Either the guy was lying about not getting advance warning, or the emergency severe weather warning system just failed spectacularly- and maybe due to cuts to key personnel & technological capabilities.
