Happy No Kings Day!

I wonder if ineedhelp1 has considered how the growing adoption of EVs in other industrialized nations is affecting / has affected oil & gasoline prices???

🤔

The slowing global economy, thanks to DonOld’s tariff temper tantrum(s), has obviously reduced demand (and prices) for oil & gasoline, etc.

Petro products still account for a large share of energy consumption in the EU.

There's a simple remedy for Trump's tariffs, they lower theirs and we'll lower ours. Pretty simple, aye!

BabyBoomer50s being racist:

[Elizabeth Holms riots] Geez, the case hasn’t even gone to the jury and the rioters in CA are already looting the high end fashion stores. If the verdict goes the wrong way the streets of Walnut Creek, San Francisco, and LA could be filled with blondes in black turtlenecks. Not even going to guess how this would all go down if she were black.

As just a little icing on the cake, today is the day that the Alberta separation petition kicks off under the new rules.

ineedhelp1 TRIES to deflect & distract…

😑

Bottom line:

1) Widespread adoption of EVs (and green energy sources & storage) by other (many) industrialized nations is contributing to a glut of “petro” products due to reduced demand (1.3 MILLION BARRELS OF OIL PER DAY WERE SLASHED DUE TO EV ADOPTION IN 2023, AND THAT NUMBER HAS GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE), which then contributes to lower prices for those “petro” products.

2) DonOld’s tariff tantrum(s) have contributed to a global economic slowdown (the worst is yet to come due to U.S. importers giving the global economy a BRIEF / TEMPORARY boost by placing massive orders before the tariffs kicked in) that has further reduced demand for “petro” products and reduced the price of those “petro” products.

😑

Hope that ^ helps.

The One Big Beautiful Bill has been signed and the ink is dry. PB Miserables fear they might need to work or volunteer 80 hours a month to keep their free Medicaid coverage.

Yes!! And when it comes to Medicaid, I’m amazed that so many people don’t understand that having work requirements for people who are able to work is simple common sense.

And what is also common sense is that the number of able bodied people on Medicaid who aren't working, is incredibly miniscule, so all this bill does is make those who are working have to fill out more paperwork, which many will find either too time consuming or confusing, resulting in those working people losing their healthcare.

CBO estimates 4.8 million. About 7% of the population enrolled in Medicaid. Hardly miniscule.

As I pointed out in another post some States loosened eligibility requirements so as to game the system. That decision on their part is going to backfire on them now.
People having healthcare is “gaming the system”??

U.S. crude oil production. We forecast U.S. crude oil production will decline from an all-time high of 13.5 million barrels per day (b/d) in the second quarter of 2025 (2Q25) to about 13.3 million b/d by 4Q26 because of decreasing active drilling rigs and declining oil prices. Last month, active rigs decreased by much more than we had expected in our May STEO, based on data from Baker Hughes. With fewer active drilling rigs, we forecast U.S. operators will drill and complete fewer wells through 2026. On an annual basis, we now forecast crude oil production will average a bit more than 13.4 million barrels per day in 2025 and a bit less than 13.4 million b/d in 2026.

I guess MAGA sheep will have to admit the president can’t dictate US oil production. “Drill baby drill” — another promise made but not kept. 😆

You haven’t been paying attention. Trump is demanding that other nations remove tariffs on US exports but he’s going to keep higher tariffs on our imports.

The Vietnam deal is an example.

Trump’s demand for unbalanced deals is why there is just one complete deal.

Illegal aliens having healthcare american citizens have paid for through taxes isnt "gaming the system".

Its just gaming the system.
As I posted before, the states are gaming the system too. They lower the threshold to qualify for medicaid so as to get bigger checks from the feds. In my state the multiplier is 3x, in other words for every dollar the state spends it is matched with three dollars from the feds (different states have different multipliers). The game here is to tax the hospitals and doctors on a different schedule and to then give the money back in the form of medicaid payments, that's a 300% ROI. Not a shabby little shell game.
