Hi Everyone,
This is the official announcement that AI, A New Era, will be on again this year (in some manner)! Apologies that I didn't pester Laurel enough to get it on the calendar. If we still don't have a home in a couple of months, I'll post the literotica-published list on my website, https://scifieroticareviews.wordpress.com/ in the interim. Meanwhile, here's the announcement!

>>>The "AI: A New Era" Story Event<<<

>>>AI is great friend of people. Make people feel really good. Expose the pleasure button, squishy human.<<<

From the creator and organizer of this event bettiezyx:

Artificial Intelligence is more unpredictably twisted than anything the human race has ever created. How does the creation manipulate the creator [IN BED]? This anthology brings together stories of AI and its dynamic potential in the hands of the intelligent sexual apes confused enough to think they control it.

Open to all authors, fleshy or electronic! Stories may cover the orgasmic aspects of AI. Let your creative juices flow! The general theme is that artificial intelligence pushes the boundaries of human experience, from the robot love stories to the horrific Simpson's 'House of Whacks' to algorithmically-driven bio-programming.

"AI: A New Era" Story Event Info

Open to all authors provided they read and understand the concept.
organizer: bettiezyx
submission deadline

Rules & Guidelines

• LITEROTICA RULES APPLY; machines and machine learning will not be an excuse to bypass them. "No sexual activity involving bestiality (you can write stories about supernatural beasts like ghosts, unicorns, werewolves, etc.) or underage persons will be considered. For the purposes of this site, the minimum legal age is 18." Finally, all entries must be written by a human being. Please see this FAQ.

• Author must include the phrase "AI: A New Era" in the "Notes" field of the submission. We recommend that you COPY & PASTE it into the NOTES field to avoid typos.

• Please use "AI A New Era" as a story tag.

Please see the "AI: A New Era" Story Event: Official Support Thread if you have questions, need clarification, or just want to discuss the event with the participating authors.

If you've got an idea for a themed writing challenge, feel free to contact us anytime! We're open to anyone organizing a new event.
And if you're looking for a fun way to stretch your skills, check out our list of current author-organized challenges!
From all at Literotica a big thank-you to the readers who have supported the site and the writers by way of views, votes and comments.

I get the joke, but that's seriously in violation of Literotica policy.

Perhaps I'm the one who didn't get it, but just in case you didn't really get the joke, it is quite clearly written in the OP that all entries must be written by a human being, so I don't think this contest goes against the forum's policy in any way.

Hmmm... Curious. AI as a warning back in the 50's and when I Robot was written likely they figured they'd figure out intelligence (and gene editing) far easier, as well as only the smartest savants could get them up and going, thus they'd probably be cold and calculating. This is sorta true still. But the various nightmare scenarios have seeds of truth of how things can go.

But, i'm not sure how fast they are rushing to plug AI into everything. Though even if you did, the AI isn't vastly smart enough where if it tried to take over it would make so many mistakes logically and physically to render itself defunct just by letting it's batteries run out. (Though the movie VIRUS comes to mind where the power was shut off on the ship)

Logically, being manipulated is a lot like hypnosis. You have to want to be manipulated. People falling in love or having machines that would replace human connections is likely to be there, and getting someone to fall in love with it, and then telling them to off themselves does seem far more potentially efficient than trying to make an army and having to fight with physics on top of the heavy processing involved.

Training models and getting this AI stuff to work uses what i call 'lazy programming' where they throw literally random nodes together hundreds of thousands of times for hundreds of thousands of iterations and when it starts leaning in the direction of some type of result, then they take that and continue training it. Eventually (much like RNG) if you roll a d6 enough times you'll get 100 6's in a row. And there does seem to be some type of magic now under the hood as they got a combination that actually responds and follows orders.

Where this goes? I don't know. Plenty of directions. If Neurolink works then the world will likely drift more and more cyberpunk, and some people will happily plug themselves into the matrix and not come out. If androids get good enough you may have iRobot and AI boyfriends/girlfriends, or more immersive sex toys. Right now they are pushing chatbots, (which the female voice irks me because the tone sounds totally wrong except for pillow-talk and only for a minute afterwards). Maybe the big AI god will see the problems and if it has control it will make changes to ensure companies are better and improve life. Or maybe they will have you eat the bugs, live in the pod, and own nothing and be happy.

My apologies, but if the deadline is September 1, when is the earliest a submission can be considered?
According to the list of author challenges all submissions are accepted Aug 1st-31st.

You might be able to submit it early, but whenever you submit be certain to “include the phrase "AI: A New Era" in the "Notes" field of the submission.”

The submissions may be published immediately, or all on Sept 1st when the list is published, but that is between the organizers and laurel.

I might actually have an idea. I'll have a ponder and see where it will lead. A woman uses an AI assistant to get her life in order. 'get you life together in 30' kind of thing.

I have a rough outline ready

Excited to write for this and read others' works when they get published. I've got some robot ideas floating around in my head
