Is this the new (to you) tractor?
I saw one in my back yard today. It was smallish so probably young.Home..almost hit a deer.... good grief
Productive day!Hmmm, lesse:
bought a backhoe
got to use it to get the truck (the guy who hauled it for us) unstuck
discovered that I still "gots it" - just add a bit of practice
charged the battery in the little tractor
it didn't charge
tooken the battery out of the little tractor and went to the store
got a new battery, some hydraulic oil (5 gallons) and some replacement trailer running lights where Some Dog chewed them
went to get diesel and gas for the chain saw
found the chain saw chain file
put the new battery in the little tractor
cut a lot of the south 40.
Poodles love it when they discover Freshly Cut Grass. It's a delicacy - easy to eat and ready-served by Teh H000man. They scoop it up like loader buckets scooping gravel or the like. So Happy Poodles were made this evening.
You were busy, too!My neighbor is in the hospital so the wife asked me to mow their lawn.
Knocked it out at lunchtime since I was working from home today.
Almost got my front yard mowed after work before the torrential downpour.
Afterwards my wife and I planted all of our pumpkin plants we didn’t sell at our farmstand. It was super humid after the storm and wet. I’d been meaning to plant the pumpkins for the last few weeks.
And I got a lot done at work too.
So I guess that makes it a good day. Somehow I managed to in 16k steps.
I do too, but the one we are having right now is prefect. Occasional thunder and lightning, nice steady rain. I don’t mind being up at 3am for this!In a way, I'm envious! I love thunderstorms! We don't get them much here.️🌩
It looks kind of pretty, though! The prehistoric equisetum in the foreground is a horrid pest in the garden.
You can always visit us in ICU...This creates a major dilemma. I don’t want to spend a lot of time in ER but….![]()
Gimme!I suspect that, as the UK and US are nations divided by a common language, I could probably proffer some profanities with which you are unfamiliar![]()
I was going to ask why you're up! Get back to bed, young man!I do too, but the one we are having right now is prefect. Occasional thunder and lightning, nice steady rain. I don’t mind being up at 3am for this!
But that storm today was borderline scary!
Not at all. I never get used to severe weather.Power is back.
The lightning and thunder were almost instantaneous. Really heavy gusts and 3/4” of rain in about 20 minutes.
A few branches down, and I thought all of our sunflowers got blown over, but we only had one casualty!
You guys in the Midwest are probably laughing at my over dramatic storm report.![]()
Be still my diabetic heart!Well, I've caught up and it's just after midnight. I've spent the past two days on yardwork and baking. Of course, it's been super hot (for us) here, in the mid 80s today.
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow (today) and always bring treats. I baked a loaf of my bread, a pan of brookies (mashup of chocolate chip cookies and brownies), and the chocolate chip cookies to take in to the office. I've been doing this for years! They love seeing me on the schedule!️
Brookies!

I had similar back symptoms and requested some PT from the doctor. The PT not only is helping with hip pain, but also with my lower back pain. Back pain messes with sleep too. Take care!Walking is fine for my back. Bending over and doing gardening is tough.
And lately sitting has been tough.
Move to the Midwest and you get enough. In a way, I'm envious! I love thunderstorms! We don't get them much here.️🌩
Comes from necessity.... I haven't gone to yhe grocery storeThat's an... interesting... choice!![]()
Me too...Scotland and then france...sounds like a great tripGood to see you here, NC!
BTW - I've been meaning to talk with you about a visit...![]()
My hollyhocks migrated to the other side of the fence into my neighbor's flower bed...and his ditch lilies migrated to mine.... that is weirdDon't you just love when they show up volunteer? Beautiful, W!![]()
Me too... me tooI have had some colorful replies to both these scenarios!![]()
Mine thought I was a bitch.... until they needed help then I was their best friend... I didnt let my personal feelings affect whether I helped you or not... because it is about the patient....Yeah. I'd always rather fill up my beds early in the shift. My coworkers thought I was a loon!![]()
Sacre BleuI suspect that, as the UK and US are nations divided by a common language, I could probably proffer some profanities with which you are unfamiliar![]()
I mowed yesterday and pulled some weeds. There is no way I will get ahead of them, I fear. There might be some weed-n-feed in the garage; I need to look. But I think my gardens will have to be hand weeded. IDK if the WNF will kill my flowers.![]()
Oh, yay! When will lessons commence?![]()
