Finally had lunch w momma. She’s starting to worry about the procedure after keeping a stiff upper lip for the last couple of months. I didn’t think it was affecting me until we started going through some papers and she was showing me some hiding places of odds and ends.
. To top it off, we went to visit my mother’s last living sibling (she was youngest of six) who’s in assisted living…but thinks he’s going to rise up like a Phoenix and go home. My cousin did gift me a bait casting rod&reel thereby saving me $100+…so, that was cool.
The heat, the emotional drain of coming to terms with momma’s situation, I took the afternoon off and watched Field of Dreams on Turner Classic. Seemed like a perfect movie. The scene where Doc “Moonlight” Graham crosses the line to save the little girl…gets me every time.
All my Tea Tree and Castile soaps came in flooding in from the U.S. Mail, so after some backyard casting w the new reel, I mixed up the potion (minus the 1% Hydro-Peroxide…Walgreens didn’t have it) I decimated the spider mite infestation. Hunkering down this a.m. to watch the F1 Austrian GP…Everyone havre a great Sunday.
