Chaos: Don't Stress, Undress

I thought the new rule was to post links to keep actual nude photos from the site. I didn't realize there were new guidelines on what was considered proper.

@ToPleaseHim I'm not arguing, just looking for guidance. Here is MLAS's freaking gorgeous pic, and here's mine that just got zapped. Neither showing genitals, only sideshow of boobage, I even edited to ensure that the water covers my bum-crack (though now that I look at it, I see that the reflection may give the illusion of a booty-cleft) Help!

I've never actually shared a bare breasted pic, or my lady bits, on here. Not my thing. I really, really, really want to stick to the rules, but they seem arbitrarily applied. I was shocked when this one got removed last week, because it fits all of the rules as stated, as well.

Is it a bot making the call? Some kind of Ai? Have I gotten on the bad side of a Hall Monitor who just reports everything I post? Any guidance as to why some pics stay up forever, and other similar pics are zapped, would be greatly appreciated

I cannot answer questions as to why an image was removed when another wasn’t if I wasn’t the moderator who took the action. And honestly, we aren’t expected to justify our actions or inactions, either. I’m only saying that because there are people getting pretty aggressive both on the forums and in PMs, and I’ll tell you, I personally don’t have fun here anymore. This place has been special to me since 2001 and I find myself not wanting to connect with people any more.

Things to know with regards to us moderating posts and images:

1. We aren’t omniscient and we don’t see everything. We rely on reports.
2. If an image gets reported, it is much more likely to be removed.
3. Horrible images might be posted and no one reports it. None of us chose to ignore the image. We just didn’t see it. Same applies to “this one nude pic” not being removed while another one did get removed.
4. We can’t address the site doing mass removals of images or permissions as we aren’t involved with that at all.
5. We are volunteers and doing our best to keep the place safe, at least that’s always been my goal as a moderator and I think we all share in that being the guiding focus.
6. We don’t make policy here.

I'm so sorry, I'm sure your getting beat up quite a bit. Being a mod here must be taxing & time consuming as it is, even before this drama. I really hope my message didn't come across as confrontational, as that is not my intent at all.

I'm generally a rule follower, and I like to know where the boundaries are. The idea that I can get myself in trouble or black listed, without any idea as to why, makes me very uncomfortable. If everything appears to follow forum rules, but is still removed, who do I ask for an explanation as to why? Not to be confrontational, or challenge authority, but simply so I know better for next time.
