Is this correct? When Christian authoritarianism was established as an adjunct to Imperial rule. Europe was plunged into the Dark ages for more than 1,000 years. I am not suggesting that it was universally true but Christianity was far more intolerant than Islam for most of that time. The English exiled the Jews in 1290, the French 3 times in 1306,1326 and 1394, and most famously Spain in 1492. Incidentally it took Spain almost 500 years before the Jews were re-admitted in 1968. Most of those Jews settled in Moslem countries from Morocco in the west to Turkey in the east.

I am not suggesting that life among the moslems was a bundle of joy but generally it was significantly better than living with the christians. Militant Sunni islam has got much worse in the recent past particularly since Saudi Arabia has finance Madrassas throughout the moslem world teaching the extreme lessons which gave rise to ISIS. I have connections with Iranian Jews who lived in Qom the academic centre of Shia islam. Intolerance of Jews there got significantly worse after the US inspired coup to re-establish the Shah in 1954 and eventually led to their revolution.

Too many modern Christians think that if they shout their support for the Jews loudly enough and denigrate the moslems that will somehow absolve them. It does not.
I care more about people chanting for genocide now than people who did it hundreds of years ago.

What you say is true. That was then. This is now. Currently Muslims tend to be the most anti Jewish people on earth.
Israel's criminal pogrom against the Gazan populace has helped increase anti-Israeli sentiment to modern day record highs, and they have no one but themselves to blame for this.

It would seem that "I CAN'T possibly be a war criminal, I'm a JEW!" and "It wasn't a 'GENOCIDE', it was simply a little ole 140 square mile "POGROM"!" have been insufficient and inadequate rationalizations of their criminal behavior. Fairly certain they tested well in Israeli focus groups though.

Hamas, which is supported by virtually all Palestinians, started it. The Israelis cannot negotiate with those people.

Where are you coming from, Hamas is good people or the Palestinians who support and think of Hamas as their protectors are good people? Or you don't like Jews, or you just enjoy death?

You misuse terms like "pogrom" and "genocide" to obscure the actions of the Muslims. October 7th was a classic pogrom--an orgy of rape and murder. Iran has publicly called for the extermination of the Jews in Israel for decades--a genocide.

If you want to criticize Israel, do it. But don't rely on antisemitic language.

Please spare me your false dichotomy.

My criticism of the huge number of the Israeli government's war crimes does not equate to being "pro Hamas" or anything of that sort, your insinuation to the contrary notwithstanding.

You are invoking a textbook example of a particular logical fallacy, the false dilemma fallacy. A quick refresher....
The false dilemma fallacy occurs when an argument suggests that a situation has only two possible outcomes, choices, or sides, when in reality, there are more options available. This can involve using language like "either/or," "always/never," or "yes/no" to create a false sense of limited choices.
My position on the whole Israel-Gazan imbroglio is basically Shakespearean: "A plague on both of your houses".

I hope this clears things up for you.

"We just want to exist in peace in our homeland!"

Alternatively if some of those countries stop sending in suicide bombers to blow up buses or a fucking Subway restaurant, or constantly firing rockets into Tel Aviv and Haifa, I think Israel might say...fuckin A, finally and stop their tanks/troops/airstrikes too.
That said, Netanyahu is a POS so who the f knows.

Benji has been saying Iran is weeks away from nukes for over 30 years and we still don't have proof.
