Now Is That Moment In History

They are not yet showing any sign of rebellion.
The Internet and most of Iran's ability to communicate with the outside world have been shut down by the government. Musk is providing Starlink access, but it is being frustrated as well.

How much influence or credibility does Prince Reza have? Nobody remembers the monarchy fondly -- it was overthrown for reasons.

His memory is probably more prominent in Iran than here in the uneducated minds of Gen Z.

The exiled Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, is calling on the Iranian people to rid themselves of the tyrannical Islamic regime, declaring, “This is our Berlin Wall moment.”

Pahlavi referred to the historic November 1989 moment when Germans on both sides of the Berlin Wall separating east and West Germany surged forward and crossed over the wall, marking the beginning of the end of East Germany’s repressive government.

Pahlavi, speaking in Paris at a press conference, called for Iran Supreme leader Ali Khamenei to step down, asserting, “Our beloved Iran has been dragged into a devastating conflict, the architect of which is no other than Ali Khamenei and his corrupt destructive faction. He has driven our nation’s economy to the brink of collapse, plundered our national infrastructure and resources, squandered the nation’s wealth on developing nuclear weapons, shattered Iran’s security, and stolen the sovereignty of the Iranian people.”

“Credible reports indicate that Ali Khamenei’s family and the family of senior officials are making preparations to flee Iran. The regime is on its last legs in towns and cities across the country. The military is fractured,” he noted.

🙄

Um, the jury is still out on how the end of the Soviet Union will work out for the world.

Not a great analogy…

We. Told. Them. So.

No Trumper is in any position to call anyone stupid or uneducated.
Because supporting Trump automatically disqualifies you from having an opinion, reading a book, or forming a coherent thought. Meanwhile, here you are, the alleged enlightened class that thinks men can get pregnant and inflation is solved by printing money, is now handing out IQ tests? Please, give us a break.

The Shah invented the civilian luxury G Wagen and the Crown Prince had a single seat sports car when he was 12 called the MPV Tehran with 2 keys, one that limited the 170 km/hr car to 30 km/hr.

Because supporting Trump automatically disqualifies you from having an opinion, reading a book, or forming a coherent thought.
Apparently so -- rather astonishingly so, in fact! No one even in Trump's cabinet can form a coherent thought! And the Trumpers on this board are even stupider!

Don’t confuse your own ignorance and intellectual shortcomings with a universal standard for measuring others. Or put another way, just because you're struggling with basic comprehension doesn’t mean the rest of us are operating at your level.

The Arab world is quietly cheering what just happened in Iran.
Got to admire your forensic knowledge of the middle east.
You must spend an awful lot of time there?
Speak to many Arab friends to get the 'view from the streets'?
Watch YouTube a lot?

(Delete as applicable...)

This bombing is not going to put any obstacles in the path of Iran's strategic plan, which is to become the regional hegemon in the MENA like the U.S. is in the Western Hemisphere.

The U.S. cleared the way for that when we destroyed the military power of Iraq.
