Copyright Infringement Tracking Page - Erotica Podcast Network

The Youtube "podcast" that had been plagiarizing stories by Literotica authors appears to have been largely shut down: all but three of their ~100 stories are no longer accessible, either by becoming Private or being removed.

"This video has been removed for violating YouTube's Terms of Service"
Learn more

I imagine that the three remaining stories will also be taken down soon. I also imagine that this plagiarism will start up again, and this battle will need to be re-fought.

Thanks to everyone who helped, especially to @Actingup for being the first to (publicly) report a specific instance of being plagiarized.

That’s great to know, @MetaBob, and thanks for tracking and notifying these. If we look at the heroic efforts of @Kasumi_Lee at the start of this thread, we’re clearly in a game of whack-a-mole, but it’s good to take the wins.

Alas, this chapter apparently isn't over yet, as several of the stories that had previously been offline are now accessible again. Earlier this morning (PDT) only three "podcast" episodes were accessible, but now there are nine, three of which are part 2 of 2, so nine videos from six stories. I imagine that the poster took them private to remove them from scrutiny, but aren't ready to let go of the revenue from plagiarized stories just yet, so are easing back into taking them public again. Additional complaints from plagiarized authors here will probably be necessary.

These are the stories plagiarized from Literotica that are still up on the Youtube "podcast" channel, including one newly added earlier this hour, so the piracy continues. All were posted there in the past two weeks:

[removed -- redundant]

Edit: since whoever owns the channel on which so many videos plagiarized from Literotica authors has now made them public again (excepting the two from @Actingup's story after he submitted a copyright violation form that Youtube acted on), the stories previously documented in this post are now redundant, so I removed them. The full list of plagiarized stories appears in two posts on the previous page of this thread which I will continue to update as new plagiarized video "podcast" episodes are posted:

This is one reason why my Literotica submissions are almost exclusively taboo. Try uploading a stolen (or original) audio story about a woman raped by a home intruder or a mother giving birth to her own son's love child, and see how quickly YouTube or any other respectable platform kicks you off.

OK, I just learned something else about this channel and what has happened to the content it plagiarized from Literotica. I mentioned previously that this content had either been taken Private or, as in the case of ActingUp's story, deleted. What I learned about every "Private" video I've attempted to view while NOT already signed in to Youtube is that I get an error message:

Private video
Sign in if you've been granted access to this video

In other words, these videos are probably still accessible to this channel's subscribers, of which I am not one.

We will need more authors to file DMCA takedown notices if we want this channel taken off air.

The copyright takedown form is here. You need to be logged into Youtube and provide your real name and address (which is confidential), but you can use an email created for the purpose (for example, if you have created a secondary account for Literotica, you can use that to create a YouTube account). When you get the choice to give the infringer 7 days or do an immediate takedown request, it's better to go for the immediate takedown IMHO because if they get three copyright strikes, the channel gets taken down. We know they've had at least one copyright strike this week, so we need up to two more to take the channel down.

I contacted two authors who replied to the notes I sent to them privately, indicating the plagiarism. One (TarnishedPenny) is already a frequent contributor to this forum. If both follow your instruction and submit a copyright takedown form, that should be enough for the "three strikes" you mentioned.

I think the YT "podcast" channel is leaving a few videos public as a teaser for people to subscribe, which would give them access to the rest of the ~100 videos they've posted in the past several months, that they've now taken private.

I contacted two more authors whose works have been plagiarized by this Youtube "podcast." One of the four I've contacted (besides @Actingup) has replied so far.

All videos on the Youtube channel were once again made publicly available (excepting the two plagiarized from ActingUp's story) earlier today, along with one new one. I will continue updating.

Thanks @MetaBob . Pretty cynical behaviour from the channel.

Aaaand ... within the past few hours, all videos on this Youtube "podcast" channel, which are composed entirely of stores plagiarized from Literotica and narrated by an AI voice, have been taken private. So apparently another Lit author submitted a copyright violation form, or else this site's admins did so, which wouldn't surprise me since I cross-referenced 60+ original Lit stories with the plagiarized audio "podcast" versions posted to Youtube, out of a total of ~100 videos posted to that channel in total.

Alas, this channel posted one new "podcast" video yesterday and another today. I have been unable to locate Lit stories that might have been plagiarized for these videos. Perhaps there are other sites from which excellent stories can be pirated?

The vast majority of stories that had previously been plagiarized are now indicated as being "Private" rather than deleted, so it's possible that they might be restored in coming weeks, putting plagiarized authors here back to square one.

Just cross referencing this thread by @NoTalentHack and his Guide to Removing Stolen Stories From Youtube - unity is strength. Is there anything that can be done to raise the response levels from the Lit authorship, for example a request from Admins for authors to check and follow-up?

One of the three writers I'd been in touch with about this let me know recently that he hadn't gotten 'round to filing a copyright violation notice with Youtube yet, but had finally done so. They got back to him to confirm something and now, with a third copyright violation filed ...

the channel has been permanently taken down!

No doubt another will rise to take its place with the same plagiarized videos, but this pirate, at least, has learned that enough Literotica authors can be bothered to protect their work that they might not try doing so again with stories plagiarized from this site. Many thanks to everyone who rose to the occasion in protecting their excellent work!

Maybe so, but ...

It has begun again; a new Youtube channel of content pirated from Literotica. More videos have been posted, all of which were plagiarized from Literotica stories even though the channel description hashtags reddit. Some names and phrasing were changed, but it's the same story:

The old "audio podcast" channel had nearly 11K subscribers by the time it got shut down. The new channel already has 1.3K subscribers in just two days, so I imagine the channel owner has a way of communicating with his old subscribers to let them know that ... heeeeee's baaaack.

Edit: I updated this list as I found new plagiarized videos until the channel was shut down. I reordered it by author name for easier reference.

Grrr! I've added a cranky comment to that story....

Are you able to re upload your old videos?

You mean, his stolen material? The channel got taken down because of theft. Don't encourage it. If you want to read the original stories, go to Literotica - this story is stolen from there without acknowledgement of the original author. https://www.literotica.com/s/where-everybody-knows-your-name-1

There's also an option to report the user as well, which I've done as 'scam'. I'm sure it can't hurt if lots of us are reporting them.

Was this the one you pinged me about, that ripped off Some Small Mercies? Yeah, I followed the approach and submitted the strike. Let's go!

Or alternately, let's get together and put out our own channel. As if anyone has the time... we've all got actual original content to create.

The Youtube channel that stole your "Some Small Mercies" story, that I left a comment about at the end of your story (along with a 5-star rating), received enough complaints from Literotica authors whose work had been pirated that Youtube shut that channel down earlier this week. It had been operating for about 9 months and had about 100 "audio podcast" videos plagiarizing stories from Literotica, including yours. I cross-referenced about 60 of those videos to the Literotica stories they plagiarized; you can view the cross-references (but not the videos, which have been taken down) through these links:

https://forum.literotica.com/thread...rotica-podcast-network.1628736/post-101118501

A new Youtube channel (named "Silken Secrets Stories") was established at about the same time the old one (named "Desire Diaries Audio Podcast") was taken down. This new channel has only been operating for about 2 days and only has three videos up, but what the old channel did in the past was to post about one video per day unless the original story was too long, in which case that story would be split into two videos that would be posted a few hours apart. I expect that a fourth video will be posted to the new channel shortly.

One thing that has changed from the old channel to the new one is that the pirated stories are now being modified to make them more difficult to cross-reference: character names are changed and words and phrases are changed, probably after being run through an AI editor to minimize the pirate's work, but the stories are still clearly the same. The AI voice used for their first three videos is also different than the usual voice used by the old channel. One thing that hasn't changed, probably to conform to Youtube's content rules, is that some NSFW words and phrases are altered: explicit sexual references are either removed or replaced with terms like "intimacy". "Beer", "wine", "whiskey", and "alcohol" get changed to "drink". Etc. Also, as with the old channel, comments posted to the video that refer to the story having been stolen, such as the one @ActingUp showed us yesterday, are being removed.

Nice that he got taken down. And thank you so much for your interest in tracking this [redacted]. There's only one of him, and a lot more of us.

Beyond the copyright stuff, I'm interested in how he rebuilds again. It's awesome that our strikes took him down, but it's like weeding... if you don't get the root then it just grows back. So, looking at https://www.youtube.com/@SilkenSecretsStories I can see that there are 1320 subscribers already, after being active for 3 days. *How* is he rebuilding, and can we target that? Bidding on keywords? If it's an initial ad outlay to boost traffic, then there's a way to cost him more than he earns by being quick to shut him down. I've followed up the new channel with YT, but until it's my personal IP infringed, which he would have to be an idiot to do given the last action, I'm unsure what traction I'll get.

He seems to have a subscriber list that he notifies, as some of them are definitely returning customers.

On the plus side, a comment that @Actingup left yesterday on what remains this channel's only "Part 1" video has not been taken down (no new video was added yesterday):

@ActingUp-h5v 1 day ago

More theft of other people's work? You should be ashamed.

Is it possible that this pirate has given up? Perhaps they've even found this Lit AH thread and know we're onto them? Or maybe that's just what they want us to think while they're opening more channels containing plagiarized content from Literotica authors? I will keep looking ...

Or maybe they went jet-skiing on the weekend using their ill -gotten streaming wealth. Let’s keep the pressure up.
