Tools >> Options >> Load/Save >> General >> Save Autorecovery information every xx minutesYou can get the same results by using LibreOffice. Costs nothing and can easily save files as .doc.
Just make it a habit of hitting CTRL+s every couple paragraphs.![]()
Ideas are dime a dozen. Words are what make them real.Fortunately it's words, and not ideas. Words are replaceable.
Yeah, that's foolishness. There are word processors.Yup don't create the story using the website lol

Thanks. Did not know that shortcut would work. I go to the file icon and then to save. I use my laptop for writing and copy and paste is different too. I copy with my mouse but to paste, I have to hit ctrl VYou can get the same results by using LibreOffice. Costs nothing and can easily save files as .doc.

That is only for autosave. If you can remember to save on your own, then just save the file to your local HD and no cloud will be used.My biggest annoyance with Word is that it insists on autosaving to the cloud instead of locally, as it used to.
I know there are circumstances where this is useful, but I don't want stories written for this site to end up in my business account. Let me choose.
I have literally NEVER written anything in the Lit Story Editor. I didn't know anyone did that. That just seems like a bad idea....And based on this thread...I seems I was right..lolI've been solely using the Lit story editor and never had an issue (outside of occasionally forgetting to save).
Has anyone else had a site glitch that erased/deleted a story or parts of it?
