For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Russia is making it more and more clear that there will be no ceasefire and no negotiations. Accept Russia's demands (which amount to surrender) or surrender - the same thing.

Silence and inaction from Trump makes it more and more clear that he has come down on Russia's side. The only thing preventing him being more open about this is that some of the GOP would side with the Democrats if he did that. Other than that, it can't be plainer that Trump is somehow in Putin's pocket.

Perhaps the US should withdraw the assistance we've been giving Ukraine. Because it certainly seems that they aren't very thankful for it.

Maybe then Ukraine will understand how deep they're in the shitter without any escape route except being flushed.

Whether they show us proper thanks is obviously very important

If someone buys you dinner and you say fuck off bastard after eating it, do you think you're going to get a second free meal from them?

Do you believe you're entitled to that free meal?

Yes, obviously this is how foreign policy should work.

This is a dumb question in regards to foreign policy

That is EXACTLY how foreign policy works.

Lol, says the guy who thinks foreign policy isn't giving free meals at the US public feeding trough.
That's not what I think.

That's what you think in opposition to something stupid.

I know that foreign policy is not binary and that sometimes we give shit to people in advance of our global objectives.

Lol, dream on.

Transactionally, you should make immediate decisions for immediate results.

In ten years, you will revisit the discussion.

But yah....all about free shit......genius.

We are here with Russia now because Obama gave Russia free shit. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But it's never about the free shit

It's ALWAYS about the free shit. We give foreign aid so that foreign nations will act in our best interests.

Conversely, when foreign nations tell us to go fly a kite, they shouldn't be getting our free shit.

Enter Ukraine...

Nope.

Strategically, you're an idiot.

I'm not the one advocating sending arms to a nation fighting a war they can't win, and one which isn't ours in the first place, while that nation calls us names and demands we give them more.

Russia isn't our friend either but it if conquers Ukraine then we're no worse off. Europe might be, but WE aren't. Nor is China any stronger (and might actually be weaker). Remember, Ukraine used to be a former Soviet satellite State so for them to become such again changes nothing in the long game.

I haven't advocated that.

Ukraine is our ally.

Another word here;

Was is a game of attrition. Eventually one side begins to lose the ability to wage war and at that point the game proceeds to the bloody conclusion.

Ukraine right now cannot fund its war machine. It's relying on foreign aid to do that. However, eventually that foreign aid will run out as nations realize that they've spent more than they'll ever get back and their national economies start to slow as a result.

At that point Ukraine has lost except for the dying parts. Right now we're at the very beginning of that point in time.

The current Russian position is that surrender talks will take place in Kyiv.

Russia's warmaking capacity will be exhausted first, because its economy is close to collapse.

Poor Comrade HisArpy and Comrade RightGuide.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has gone on for 3 years and 3 months … and was only supposed to take 3 weeks. It must be humiliating to be a Russia supporter at this point.

Ukraone's Metinvest Mining and Metallurgical Group has equipped five command vehicles for units of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. Metinvest financed thecomplete technical re-equipment of command vehicles based on the Kozak armored vehicle. Equipped with the most modern communication equipment, the vehicles have already left for the hottest areas of the front. Five of the latest command vehicles were received by the signalmen of one of the units of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. Comfortable workplaces for personnel were equipped and the most modern communication equipment, means of communication protection, resistant to electronic warfare, automation, autonomous backup power supply and other equipment were installed. Metinvest allocated almost UAH 2 million (USD50k) for these purposes.

The staff vehicles are designed to ensure round-the-clock stable radio communications and control in the tactical link of the Land Forces in any weather conditions and season, on the move and at a standstill. The military said the Kozak was not chosen by chance for conversion into a command vehicle. The combat vehicle is well protected by armor, mobile, very roomy and allows you to place all the necessary equipment and organize comfortable workplaces for personnel. "The most modern technological stuffing allows the commander to monitor the situation on the battlefield in real time, consolidating data from unmanned reconnaissance and other systems. Objective and complete information allows the headquarters to make operational decisions aimed at increasing the efficiency of the units' actions and saving the lives of soldiers," deputy company commander Dmytro said.

The command vehicles are equipped taking into account the combat experience and needs of the Ukrainian army, and modern technological solutions are used here that protect the vehicle crew from wartime risks.
