Los Angeles stands up to ICE

An interesting report in “The Guardian” today:

California national guards troops and marines deployed to Los Angeles to help restore order after days of protest against the Trump administration have told friends and family members they are deeply unhappy about the assignment and worry their only meaningful role will be as pawns in a political battle they do not want to join.

Three different advocacy organisations representing military families said they had heard from dozens of affected service members who expressed discomfort about being drawn into a domestic policing operation outside their normal field of operations. The groups said they have heard no countervailing opinions.

“The sentiment across the board right now is that deploying military force against our own communities isn’t the kind of national security we signed up for,” said Sarah Streyder of the Secure Families Initiative, which represents the interests of military spouses, children and veterans.

“Families are scared not just for their loved ones’ safety, although that’s a big concern, but also for what their service is being used to justify.”

Chris Purdy of the Chamberlain Network, whose stated mission is to “mobilize and empower veterans to protect democracy”, said he had heard similar things from half a dozen national guard members. “Morale is not great, is the quote I keep hearing,” he said.

😳 😑 🤬

We. Told. Them. So.

Fortunately there are millions of Americans who are totally fed up with democrats flagrantly ignoring the will of the people. Trump was hired now let him do his job.
You are correct that millions of misguided people voted for trump. But more people voted against him than for him. So no mandate as he has claimed.

So in your delusional mind millions are misguided but you’re not. Got it (y)

And yet he won the popular vote?

Not just me, but more than voted for your deity that is trump.

BTW, are you actually ok with what he is doing to our country? The isolationism, the authoritarianism, alienating allies, aligning with Putin, doing an indiscriminate slash and burn across government via DOGE which they’re having to unwind, having a multi-million dollar parade (DOGE?), sending in the military unnecessarily, creating higher “taxes” for people through his ill advised tariffs, trying to intimidate and silence universities/law firms/media who are critical of him, etc…

And yet he won the popular vote?
He did indeed, garnering less than 50% of voters votes.

Another option: keep the illegals and deport the American-born rioters. At worst, we break even.
Despite the flaming cars, there is not really any riot going on -- only protests.

1992, now, that's what a riot looks like.

ICE is now raiding playgrounds and snatching nannies taking care of children.😡

They also have the National Guard guarding the federal building on Wilshire which is over an hour away from the protests downtown. 🙄

Guessing here, that is a pretext for having them close by in case they are needed where there is a 'hot spot of extremists' rioting and in need of an intervention.

He did not. Kamala Harris rightfully won the popular vote, AND the electoral vote, by several million. Only problem is, several million of Harris's votes were counted as going to Trump. And, unlike in 2020, when claims of fraud were repeatedly debunked, this fact still has merit- it has neither been investigated nor debunked.

So no. Trump did not win the popular vote in 2024. Harris did. can you prove otherwise? I didn't think so.

Well! That’s quite a statement. Perhaps you and Laz should seek medical attention  Should immediately seek shelter in your local rubber room equipped with restraints, straight jackets and lots and lots of medication.

DoJ fucks up filing regarding National Guard

https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/amp/shows/deadlinewhitehouse/blog/rcna212433

In its court filing opposing California’s request for a temporary restraining order against the military deployment in Los Angeles, the government left the second page’s table of contents blank, and the third page’s table of authorities only says “[INSERT],” seemingly an unresolved note to fill out the page with legal authorities that would normally signal what’s ahead.

My point is (which you might not grasp so I'll spell it out for you...) You kept insisting that Trump rightfully "Won" the 2020 election even after not one, but MANY thorough, unbiased and deep investigations proved otherwise. You kept insisting this after it was thoroughly debunked multiple times.

The 2024 election on the other hand, was never investigated at all. My claims (Which I admit are dubious) have NEVER been debunked- unlike yours about 2020. So, this is really a taste of your own medicine, is it not, Rebbelfive?
