Fempreg... female to female impregnation.

Are there any stories out there that feature this as a theme?

yes. Now I can’t think of any titles offhand but I know there was a story about orcs invading who were all women but they were hermaphroditic.

Though that story, which did have a lot of human women becoming pregnant from orcs, was really about a male consort who was going to need to learn to submit to his new orc bride.

I’m assuming the trans section would have some.

Just to check, what are the hallmarks of the genre? I’m assuming it’s women with fully functioning cocks and testes but this is the first I’ve heard of Fpreg. Or is it like M’preg and the pregnancy is caused in a unique way, like two women start tribbing and one gets pregnant?

Edit: I looked a bit into it. Seems like it’s magical (sex ritual) or sci-fi induced pregnancy (like creating sperm from one woman which has been experimented with in the real world but not yet been successful)

Interesting enough, I have read somewhere there's some success in making an ova out of a male cell, so two gay men could have a child, but they would still need a surrogate mother since there's still significant gap we can't take to the artificial womb for now.

I've come across a couple (one of which I remember was a fanfic) on other forums but have never seen one here. And I'm guessing you mean two cis women having kids, so no women naturally or otherwise that have penises?

I read a headline somewhere that they're using bone marrow to somehow make an artificial sperm that allows a woman to get another woman pregnant? But I didn't read the article or look more into it. It all sounds very experimental medical science and far less romantic.

If you wanted to do a story like this, i'd say go with something along those lines. Make up some medical jargon, have the fake load put into a strap on, and do your thing.

I once had a story in mind for where some sort of cosmic event happened that made it so that a deep enough kiss could cause pregnancy. Never went anywhere with it though...

I think the idea was partially inspired by the webcomic Girly.

I seem to remember reading that, theoretically, with enough lab equipment, you could take the X chromosomes from one woman, and the X chromosomes from another woman, and splice them into a viable zygote. Of course the offspring would have to be a female, too. I don't remember if this was a SyFy type story or an actual scientific thing. But it could make a good story.
