I opened a door to let a couple of women in the store and I got a lecture about why it's wrong to assume they aren't capable of opening it themselves.

This is the second time in as many months this has happened. Have the rules changed?

I probably would have followed up with "Well, FUCK you then!".

I hold doors for men and women. Just depends on who's standing or walking where. It only has to do with being polite!
