Los Angeles stands up to ICE

He campaigned that he would send the military into cities against American citizens??
He campaigned on dealing with illegal migrants and yes, if it takes the military to keep order he did campaign on that also. The military is in a defensive posture, but nice try.

A military force used for domestic policing is not in a defensive posture.

Could be. He definitely ran on a xenophobic platform.

Yeah, except people who aren’t under the influence are one voice in saying what he’s done sending in unsolicited military is so far outside of normalcy and historical precedent that it might actually be illegal.
Protesting ICE and other federal agents for upholding and enforcing immigration law is outside the norms.
Your boy wants an excuse to invoke the insurrection act so he’s just fine fanning the flames by escalating, which is what ramping up the extraditions to 3,000 a day (want to take a guess what % they’ll get wrong) and unnecessarily sending in the troops is doing.
Blame Biden!

More fire! fire! hair on fire!
A tad dramatic, perhaps. That said, you have blinders on because he’s trampling all over democracy and the constitution in his authoritarian efforts.

Protesting is absolutely within the norms as a first amendment right. What they’re protesting is the cruel, authoritarian, lack of due process, and anti-rule of law way ICE is doing it at trump’s behest.

Blame Biden!
You’re going to have to explain this one.

How is he trampling all over the constitution? States are illegally trampling over immigration laws. The federal government has all authority concerning immigration, that’s the law of the land. Read up on the supremacy clause.

Bullshit, I’m not even going to argue that bullshit.
You’re going to have to explain this one.

But it is illegal for him to send in Marines, and illegal to federalize the NG without first consulting with the governor.
Actually only the governor is supposed to be able to send in their own states national guards.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find how to post a google search results link. If you know how I’m all ears. In the meantime this is a bit unkempt and incomplete, but you get the idea, trump is multi-tasking, not just about immigration

Says a lot that you don’t support the first amendment.

LA is burning and its politicians are siding with non citizen rioters. I love it. I do not want the Feds or troops there either. The Eses are planning on a big push into certain neighborhoods now that LAPD is a bit occupied.
Bring out the popcorn. This is going to be fun.

😭🤣 what you even talking about
I am watching videos on Spanish language sites of blacks being ambushed in cars and having the either stolen or burnt. Since LAPD is not enforcing many laws outside of trying to stop the city from burning, the Eses (latino gangsters) are saying now is the time to expand their territory and operations.

Another gang war in LA? *yawn*
