I see the U.S turning into either China or Russia (or maybe Iran, if this authoritarian administration takes on an ultra-religious bent).

Maybe an amalgam of all three:

An oligarchical (Russia), polluted (China) theocracy (Iran) - with a dash of slavish sycophancy (North Korea) for flavor…

A “return to the smoggy days of the 1960’s” (in America) seems a bit optimistic…
