So, a kind admirer let me know that at least one of my stories has been turned into an audio tale on Reddit, apparently using AI. Curiously, the title seems to have been changed, but the tale is 100% mine. I am not credited.

Has anybody dealt with this? Insights and tips?

Not that familiar with Reddit, but it sounds like a promotional opportunity. You could tell the Reddit readers that it's your story and it can be read for free on Literotica, With a link, if Reddit allows that.

It all depends on the subreddit it's posted on. Some are okay with self-promotion, many view it as spam, especially from someone who has no posting history with the sub.

It's better to report the post and try to get it taken down.

Contact a Reddit Mod  of that community and hope they don't think they are the Great and Powerful Oz and maybe you can get it taken down. Or contact the poster and if they're willing, have a polite conversation with them.

Agreed. You can report for copyright infringement. A link to your story should be sufficient.

I'd also DM the poster. Call them out. Plagiarists are generally conflict-adverse cowards terrified of being publicly called out. They'll probably just pull it if they know you noticed it.

I know I advised you (and about 50 other authors here) that your story had been plagiarized on Youtube with a version narrated by an AI voice:

One of those other authors asked Youtube to take their plagiarized story down, and they did so a day or so later. There's a whole thread devoted to this and similar issues:

Yes, Youtube have an online form that you can fill in. You get two options:
1) the poster gets given a week to consider taking the story down, and if they do, there's no 'strike' recorded against them
2) you ask Youtube to make an instant decision themselves and to record a copyright strike against the poster.

I went with Option 2. I had already created a YouTube account and email address under my Lit handle of ActingUp, and used those identities. I also changed my profile on Lit to mention the theft so that if anybody from YouTube looked me up, they would see it. As MetaBob said, they did it in about 36 hours and then I received a confirmation email from them.

Hopefully Reddit is also that straightforward.

The Youtube "podcast" that had been plagiarizing stories by Literotica authors appears to have been largely shut down: all but three of their ~100 stories are no longer accessible, either by becoming Private or being removed.

"This video has been removed for violating YouTube's Terms of Service"

I imagine that the three remaining stories will also be taken down soon. I also imagine that this plagiarism will start up again, and this battle will need to be re-fought.

Thanks to everyone who helped, especially to @Actingup for being the first to (publicly) report a specific instance of being plagiarized.
