The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Up at 3 for old dog. It’s raining pretty hard. I have an MRI of my hip at 830 and can’t eat or drink 4 hours prior to the scan. I don’t understand that. But I will dutifully comply. The nurses here will explain the 4 hour fasting.

I think I am going to use the recliner again for a snooze before the scan.
You may receive contrast and/or sedation for your study. Some people find the scanner to be claustrophobic or nausea-inducing. The reason for NPO (nothing by mouth) for a period of time is to make sure your stomach doesn't have any food or liquid you may vomit up. You do not want to aspirate (breathe in) stomach contents.

I hope your test is as benign as possible. 🫂💜🫂

Similar to our fires in 2021. Here's what it looked like on the lake:

There was a fire very near us; the evacuation zone was less than a quarter mile from our house. I had go bags packed for us and the dog's crate, food, and water packed in the truck. Here's a picture of fire INSIDE a tree! 😱😱

holy shit! That’s too close for comfort.

Glad everything turned out ok!
That looks real bad, were there embers falling from the sky?
no - the fire was nowhere near us. It was like 500 miles away in Canada. It just blew the smoke towards us. No embers or ash. Everything smelled like a nasty campfire tho.

All this talk of fires is scary! As our planet grows hotter, we will see more. 😥 Here's a handy map you can use to track fires over the US. I don't think Canadian fires are reported here.

I didn't sleep well last night so I'm hoping for better sleep tonight. Have a terrific Thursday, everyone! 💖✨💝

I got home last night from Boston at around 7. Mrs wonderer greeted me at the door in a skimpy outfit!

It’s good to be back. 🍆😂

Now on the bus to New York City. The last day of my tour. But I’m glad I came home last night instead of going to the New York City hotel.

One last day of meetings.

Owner Took Rare 1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Ragtop for an Inspection; Dealer Charged Him $45

View attachment 2545725
Apparently, having an old Oldsmobile inspected is 45 bucks nowadays, or so the gentleman who owns one reveals. He bought his from Tennessee (he found it through Hemmings Motor News magazine) because he likes cubic inches and noise. Also, he didn’t want a 4-4-2 because they are too mainstream, so he went for something different and ended up on the paying end of a 1975 Delta 88, one of a few hundred produced.
My first car was somewhat similar to this except it wasn’t a convertible. It was a 1974 Buick LeSabre.

It was a beast!

Good luck today b2!!!

I seem to post only when I have downbeat things to say. I'm sorry about that. You are all very cool people.

But I don't think Lit is for me. It's a bit overwhelming tbh. I don't think I've spoken to anyone on here that isn't cool. People are nice and friendly. The amount of sex and experience that people talk about on here is just too intense for me. As you can imagine there are few avenues to discuss this stuff and ironically Lit is one of them

Thanks for listening. You are all super nice people

Do you really make that trip by bus? Why not the NE Regional or Acela train?
