Alright, I'm baking this week for week one of the challenge I've made for myself (following all the GBBO briefs). So, I'm only doing seasons I can watch and compare how I'm doing to how they are judging. That means first bake is a cake that has to use fresh fruit, no dried fruit. It's the baker's Signature Bake for the first one. So, something classic but with my own twist on things. So, I want to do a strawberry and cream cake, but I want to make the sponge lemon poppyseed.
Does this sound like a good idea? Oh, I'm so excited and nervous to get back into baking.
