Yeah most country shows are pretty straight forward. Not a lot of tech in the few that I’ve been to.

I see a lot of artists that are “past their prime” as well as a lot of new artists and I don’t think age has anything to do with how good the shows are. Some older artists have become even better like fine wine while others are just phoning it in. While some new acts feel fresh and energetic while others feel immature. 🤷

I dunno, U2 is 20ish yrs past their prime and the sound was just...not good. Not the audio of the concert just his voice etc.
Almost every singer as they age just gets...worse and worse. So many seem to sound like hot ass at the Superbowl or their final farewell tours etc...Billy Joel, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen...I mean...these guys are like 80 or something. Hats off to them, theyre fucking legends...but just...no bueno.
But in terms of still being able to put on a good show otherwise, of course.

Well, its growing fast, like F1, but it doesnt have the culture here or the funding for that matter...so kids grow up and want to be...Mahomes. Aaron Judge. LeBron. Its the immigrants or second and third generation kids from Colombia, France, Mexico, Italy, Brazil, Germany, whatever...that grow up and want to be Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Neymar, whomever.
And frankly, MLS is kind of crappy. Theres some good players, and some great fans and stadiums, but not really great teams. And then the best players leave to go play in England, France, Italy, germany etc. Like Pulisic. Its usually bad defense, bad passing, some ok keepers, and a few decent forwards, but overall the play is pretty bad. And then not to pick on any specific cities or whatever, but some stadiums/cities/teams dont sell out or even chant during matches so its kind of pathetic, whereas some cities truly embrace it and its a fantastic experience.
Ive been to a few Portland Timbers matches and its terrific. LAFC has a rabid fanbase. The Sounders do too. FC Cincy had a great minor league team that recently went to MLS and sucked and now is good and they have a good fanbase. But some other cities like Chicago...I mean, why would fans go to the Chicago Fire match when they can go to the Bulls/Blackhawks/Bears/Cubs etc? Esp when the team isnt good and there isnt much history/tradition.
Most of the time the US seems to get more into it when the World Cup is happening.
And you can find soccer fans in every major city. But its not super popular in most unfortunately. If the US ever gets good and does sometihng in the WC...if the men do (the women are already amazing), then perhaps itll catch on even more.

Oh totally agree. I saw Sisters of Mercy (yeah i realize none of you know them) and the singer might as well have not been there. Awful. But I guess a lot of artists i like were never known for their singing to begin with lol

I struggle watching sports on tv. I'm terrible at sports but if I can watch a sport in person, I absolutely love it but I haven't been to any live game in many years. I keep meaning to but I work so much it's a matter of time and energy.

Actually, I never thought about how many people have immigrated here which will have a huge impact and shift on what sports are popular. Will be interesting to see how the sports landscape changes in 5-10 years.

I'm not a very typical man, you've probably seen that a little by now... I always found it funny how my dad would get so mad at referees, yelling at the TV, calling my grandpa and they'd both be bitching about that shit call and how the game was rigged. 🤣

yeah haha I had this friend who was super goth qnd tried to get me into it. Sent me all these mp3s and mixes and stuff. Wanted me to go to a few goth clubs. I was like...uhh...aside from black what do I wear, how do i dance etc...she said Ill just figure it out but wear black or white and nothing else. So I did. Had fun. Got into SOM. But not into the whole scene. I could prob dig up some pics of me dressed more goth, but also, prob now allowed to post pics of ppl under 18 so...prob shouldnt. Im not naked or in any sort of revealing outfits though. So I dunno.

I must say, I'm glad you're not goth. I've seen some beautiful goth girls but I'm a fan of colors. Monotone can get very repetitious.

I used to spend 3-4 nights a week at goth/industrial clubs. Don’t have any pics tho because iPhones didn’t exist yet. 😁 Always loved the vibe of dozens of people dressed in black leather dancing lol. I’d love to see pics of you goth’d out (can’t lie I have a thing for the goth/alt/emo look) but yeah not a good idea to post <18 pics
