No position on a non-economic culture-war issue can be "left." Wokeness is not leftist. DEI is not leftist. Trans rights are not leftist. Radical feminism is not leftist in itself. Loose immigration policy is not leftist. Nothing is leftist unless it tends to threaten the plutocracy, and the Dems don't. American politics is a conflict between ideological factions in the country club.

See here -- all the parties listed with "socialist" or "communist" in their names -- those are the left. Except for the Democratic Socialists of America, which is "multi-tendency" and therefore not really committed to the idea of socialism as something that is to come after capitalism.
