The strange thing about pain clinics.

They drug test you to make sure you AREN'T using drugs before giving you the pain meds.

Then they drug test you to make sure you ARE using the pain meds before they renew your RX.

I loathe pain meds! They were quick to ask me if I wanted opiates though!

I was just there to do the work up for injections.

Yeah and they had xrays that showed the damage but wouldn't do a thing until a MRI was done

I get this as a Surgical Assistant. An MRI is a 3D image that allows for a better view for procedures. While an xray is great for bone density, an MRI will show cartilage, tendons, ligaments, nerves, joint spaces, fluid in joint spaces, and other soft tissues.
