the women in it are not bad to look at, but the video is otherwise pretty lame

I dont use an assistant. I have a gorillapod that attaches a camera to weird places like poles, shelves, door jambs, whatever. I also use a self-timer in many cases.
And yes, if so inclined, I will take a few shots to ensure my eyes are open, its focused properly, its reasonably framed well, etc.
Every once in a while I get someone say "all your shots are so awesome!" or similar. Yo, I dont post the shitty ones..and for those thinking "oh Kit, no possiblew way you can look bad"...uh...yeah...plenty of fails!

Two of my favorites selected because they were the first to come to mind.

The 69 Eyes "Lost Boys"

Aside from The 69 Eyes being my Type O Negative replacement (if you've not heard the Paris Kills album, give it a listen) I used to love the movie the song is based on.

I don't recall if they used the actual set location of the lair, or if they found original elements of the set to recreate it, but I get a kick out of the whole scene recreation. I could do without the gratuitous addition of Bam thrown in there, but I think he directed 2 or 3 videos out of the Angels/Devils albums and he couldn't not be in front of a camera.

Rammstein "Sonne"

"Ich Will" was already used, and frankly I think that was probably their best video to this point in their career. Looking back on the videos that came out from this album probably should have been a clue that they were going to keep pushing the envelope for videos leading up to "Deutschland" in 2018 (I'll have to double check the year)

I love the twist on the Snow White story in the video, but the Mutter videos are more nostalgic for me, because in September 2001, I saw Rammstein for the first time with System of a Down and Slipknot. I didn't know they had put out a new album (Mutter) prior to walking into the venue. I bought the album at the show, and it came with a VHS of the videos for that album. I was also able to have the band sign it, so the cover of my CD has their autographs.

not too keen on "angry rock/metal" types of music but i do have respect for some bands and some tunes etc.

The 69 Eyes (or the Helsinki Vampires as they're nicknamed) are goth metal, and I think metal is kind of a loose term for them. If you can't understand Jyrki's lyrics, it's probably because he mumbled them with his accent, or it got buried in the mix a little. His vocal range and style isn't suited for angry. They did a cover of Blondie's "Call Me" on one of their first albums (Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams).

nothing personal, but i skipped around in the song and its just not my thing. nothing personal. im sure i like or own tons of music that isnt for you or someone else. it just is.
