Day 10: Your most played band of all time
Midnight Only the strong (live at Goat Island Sydney Harbour)
Day 11: A song that comforts your soul
Flaming Lips - Do you realise
Only The Strong just kills me. It's a song that sounds like it's perpetually about to fall apart given that the bass and drums are frequently off on wild excursions or leaving space in the sonic landscape, but it all works thanks to the fantastic musicianship of the guys.

I picked that version as it gives an idea of how good they were live and how great a drummer Rob Hirst is

Day 13: A song you liked about a year ago

I came across this song on this thread and quickly adopted it into my playlist. I listened to it over and over and over and wept through the hard feelings that come with the end of a marriage. I danced to it alone. I danced to it with my kids. We sang it together. It really helped me and gosh I still love it, even though I don't listen to it as frequently anymore 🥰

I Hope You're Happy - Blue October

If I hadn't already posted it earlier in the thread, this was going to be my choice. Powerful song at a point that I needed it.

I was listening to depressing wahwah music a year ago so I'm choosing this because I like it and I listened to it a lot (well the first few seconds before I'd skip the intro)
Star Trek- the Next Generation intro 😁

Day 14. A song you never get tired of.
Frank Wilson - Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)

Play it once. Play it all night long. I'll hit the dancefloor every time - it takes me to Mecca.

Oh wow! Bruce Springsteen has done a version. It's actually really good. Amazing for a song that took decades to get an official release. Has he done a northern soul album? I'll check...

Day 12: A song you have a funny story to
Ooof, I’m getting caught up after an atrocious stretch of evenings at work.

It was funny then and it’s funny now. Back in my late 20s, I had a FWB who was a few years younger than me. He was tall and handsome and a bartender who wanted to be a rock star. The sex was great and we got along pretty well.

I think it was our 3rd “date” when he asked if it was ok if he brought his guitar over. Ummm, ok.

So he proceeds to play this song and I’m pretty confident this was my face the entire time

For the record, I hate Nickelback and this song is so bad, but we still got it on that night 🤣
