Columbia Student Who Was Arrested at Citizenship Interview Is Freed
Mohsen Mahdawi had been an organizer of pro-Palestinian protests at the university. The Trump administration is trying to deport him for it.A Federal Judge released legal "green card" permanent resident Mohsen Mahdawi from ICE custody today. He was released on bail. He is a legal 10-year permanent resident of the United States who was lured into what he thought was being given his final Citizenship interview but was instead arrested by duplicitous ICE agents. A Federal judge immediately issue an injunction preventing him from being "disappeared" out of state by craven federal officials. This was followed by a Temporary Restraining Order against the government (which would have expired today) preventing the Department of State from summarily deporting him back to the West Bank.
A federal judge freed him on bail after determining he was not a "flight risk". He now enjoys full due process rights to challenge his deportation for "supporting terrorism", i.e. protesting Israel soldiers routinely murdering unarmed civilian ambulance drivers, raping Gazan women and bayonetting Gaza babies.
When asked for comment today, he simply replied "I'm not afraid of you, Trump".
Secretary of State "Little" Marco Rubio indicated that his State Department would spare no expense in ridding America of this "terrorist", who had been identified by Israeli intelligence service as someone who presented an existential threat to Israel's existence.
Publicly disagreeing with the government of Israel in a time of conflict is considered a "crime" in Israel and "terroristic activity" n the Trump administration.
