Seems like this forum is all for men...?

The more frequent complaint is that the forum is only for women, so this thread is interesting to me.

The site owners announced upcoming changes to sharing images here and several people who primarily or only posted images have taken a break or took off. One of them has ceased posting but continues to frequent the forum reporting images in other threads (which is an interesting (or, ironic)) way to protest the upcoming changes.

Let me take this chance to remind people of the current forum posting rules: https://www.literotica.com/faq/forum/forum-thread-picture-rules

Big-picture, very important summary (that is super relevant in this forum based on the images I remove from image threads of all genders): don’t post images of folks who look underage. Ever. You really are only supposed to post images that you own or have copyright to, as well. But lots of images of young looking people are posted here. We don’t take any chances.

Also, graphic sexual images and close-up/lascivious genitalia images are also not allowed.

@ToPleaseHim

I know that even though I started the thread, I have no moderation privileges. But I would like to say, for all it's worth, that I started the thread with the intention of hearing what people have to say. And I would really really appreciate it if people didn't post pictures here

I would also really appreciate that.

Concerns regarding image posting explain why the ladies’ threads have gone silent, though.

I'm a casual observer, but I'm sure I know to whom you're referring.

I'm sorry that this is off-topic from the OP. This is just further info on why the women aren't currently posting.

I can confirm what @ToPleaseHim said about most of the women who post images here bowing out. I am one of them. Maybe some of them will come back eventually, but at least a few I know of, including me, don't want to break the rules and have decided that we can't definitively determine what those rules are.

There are two main issues that seem to be at play.

1) The definition of "nudity." Most of the pictures posted in the "...for Ladies and Lesbians" threads don't show genitalia or nipples, although some people, including me, will occasionally post pics of topless women. Are nipples off limits now? What about men's nipples; is that nudity? What about a side view of a naked woman lying facedown on a bed? No "naughty bits" are showing, but she's nude. What about butt pics?

2) Copyright issues. I have been adhering to Laurel's posting on this in the "Copyrighted Content Reminder" post updated in 2023.

In particular, there is this part:
You can post links to images found elsewhere on the Internet. HOWEVER, we reserve the right to warn or ban you if we feel you are
1) spamming/advertising for another site/product/etc. or
2) you repeatedly post linked images which stretch the screen.
We also will remove links to images upon request from copyright holder. If, after we do so, you replace the image, we may ban your account.

#2 mentions "linked images which stretch the screen." This, to me, means that Laurel considers hotlinked images hosted elsewhere on the Internet that display as you scroll, like what we mostly post, to fit under the category of an image link.

The mods seem to have a much stricter understanding of that, at least in what I can glean from their posts on the matter. They seem to be going on the idea that people shouldn't be posting any images unless the Lit member personally took the picture or it is of them.

Obviously, the mods aren't enforcing their interpretation of this, but whenever the issue of image posting comes up, they seem irritated that people 'post images they don't own.' So, are we allowed to post hotlinked images that follow all of the other site rules or not? Regardless of what is being enforced, although that would clarify the rules if they were, I can't tell if I'm breaking a rule or not.

IF the rules can be clarified and consistently enforced, then I and other women would consider posting again. Until then, it's not worth the headache for those of us trying to be good citizens of the community.

I've been mostly off this site for a few years, and spending most of my online time on FetLife. It sounds to me, from what you're saying, like the issue here is similar to FL: that the moderators are more or less free agents and enforce rules willy-nilly as they see fit and how they see fit.

I really appreciate most of the moderators and I'm not just saying that to kiss their asses. However, I have seen whole threads in the LGBTQIA+ Chatter area removed recently without any statement as to why. To the best of my knowledge, for the ones that I frequented before they disappeared, there weren't any rule violations and were even pretty wholesome, especially compared to some of the ones in the GB. "Women's Smiles and Dimples," for example, was deleted. Guess what it was pictures of, mostly women's smiling faces, or smiling while wearing bikinis. 🤷‍♀️

I generally assume the mods have good reasons why they delete threads, but the uneven enforcement and lack of communication about their actions leave me, at least, unable to decipher the functional rules we should be following.

That's nuts removing the smiles thread as the majority was only faces due to that's where the smiles are.

Other threads in other sections are far more graphic yet seem to carry on as tho the rules don't exist.

If there are shots of topless guys then why not the girls in both cases they show the upper body and some guys have man boobs.

Genzsub your contributions were always tasteful compared to what some submitter's put up in other threads.

Gen Nice to see you chatting. The "Rules" seem to be enforced inconsistently, and that can be frustrating. I do miss the posting my you and Pixie and CH1, and others...I hope this can be resolve soon....

Thanks

Don't forget the 3 threads few guys started and more piled on griping about our threads

... IF the rules can be clarified ...

I've asked Laurel what has changed and no longer allowed. i.e. women's: butt, under or side breast, areolas, nipples? What isn't allowed, yet see women while wearing bikinis?
She has not replied to me.

I agree with genzsub.

Being left in limbo, this is how I feel, and would be waiting for the trip door to be opened. And respecting liqueur's wish, am posting as a link

woman on gallow with noose around her neck

I suspect the reason for removal is not that a nipple or a dick might cause offence, but a more mundane one: copyright infringement. If you post an image that's not yours then you break Lit rules ( and copyright law ). 'Fair use' is as limp as a lettuce leaf in a courtroom.

I don't pay much attention to the details and have never read lit rules, but I see no evidence of gender bias.

Just to reiterate: this thread was explicitly not about photos. This thread was posted because it's in the forum called LBGTQIA, and yet the forum seems to be entirely inhabited with bi and bi-curious men, and in a few places MTF queer folk catering to men. I was hoping to either be informed of a place here where women, lesbians, and transfolk in general feel safe and welcomed, or failing that, to create one.

Yes, the title makes it sound like it's just a complaint as opposed to a thread for what you have in mind.
Okay. I'll rethink this. Hard to imagine there isn't a space already available that I just don't know about.

There were several threads which indicated that they were specifically for ladies and lesbians, but the poster must have retired.
