A lot of Jews are participating in pro-Palestinian protests.“My roommate was doxxed, our apartment was doxxed,” one Jewish graduate student told the task force. "
And not only in the U.S. -- in Israel itself.

Is waving a Palestinian flag at a college protest prima facie evidence of "insults or violence" by chance? If it specifically targets Jewish students with insults or violence, yes.
I wouldnt consider that antisemitism. Is waving a Palestinian flag at a college protest prima facie evidence of "insults or violence" by chance?
Do you consider that "anti-Semitism"?
OkI don't believe either scenario above meets that criteria.
It's obvious to anyone with eyes that protests on multiple campuses caused safety issues for some students. That is entirely my focus and I don't give a shit which tribe is supported or protested.I understand some people feel differently than I do.
Hey, I am all for banning all protests on college campuses. But if they start saying that some protests are more equal than others than I will begin to question the legitimacy of all this hand-wringing.I wouldnt consider that antisemitism.
Ok

Students have a right to have a safe learning environment and colleges have a requirement to provide that.
Again, there are two reports available for you to look at and assess for yourself whether that is what they are doing. I don't see any evidence of that.Hey, I am all for banning all protests on college campuses. But if they start saying that some protests are more equal than others than I will begin to question the legitimacy of all this hand-wringing.
From the start, the pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses were given leeway that no other protests have been given since the 60''s. They set up encampments and blocked pathways denying students access to class. They vandalized campuses, occupied buildings, and took university employees hostage.Hey, I am all for banning all protests on college campuses. There have not been any campus protests on this scale since the Vietnam War ended, not even over Apartheid or nuclear disarmament. From the start, the pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses were given leeway that no other protests have been given since the 60''s.
While I am sure this happened in isolated cases, some folks try to imply it was happening everywhere. Some students were simply trying to protest the killing of Gazan women and children and were lumped into the antisemitic aspersions. From the start, the pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses were given leeway that no other protests have been given since the 60''s. If the universities had applied the same standards to the pro-Palestinian protesters that they normally apply to everyone else, we wouldn't be in this situation.
The whole statement was a result of everything...not just the overall thing. While I am sure this happened in isolated cases, some folks try to imply it was happening everywhere. Some students were simply trying to protest the killing of Gazan women and children and were lumped into the antisemitic aspersions.
There were encampments and calls for the genocide of the Jews on dozens of college campuses after October 7th. If it was merely the work of a few bad apples, why didn’t the pro-Palestinians stand up and police their movement? While I am sure this happened in isolated cases, some folks try to imply it was happening everywhere. Some may have been harassed, but nobody was really in danger. Can you admit that students did not feel safe on campus during this time or no?
Lie.There were encampments and calls for the genocide of the Jews
“From the river to the sea” is a call for genocide. As is “Khaybar, Khaybar, ya yahud!” And “globalize the Intifada!”Lie.
Some may have been harassed, but nobody was really in danger.
Why don't you just admit that any criticism of Israel is antisemitism to you? There were encampments and calls for the genocide of the Jews on dozens of college campuses after October 7th. If it was merely the work of a few bad apples, why didn’t the pro-Palestinians stand up and police their movement?
Absolutely nothing she has said indicates that. There are people out there of whom that is true, but why not save that accusation for someone who deserves it?Why don't you just admit that any criticism of Israel is antisemitism to you?
Israel is not an apartheid state, is not a product of settler-colonialism, and is not committing genocide. When you criticize Israel by repeating these common lies, I'll call it antisemitism. Why don't you just admit that any criticism of Israel is antisemitism to you?
"Antisemitism" was coined in the 19th century by European race scientists to paint Jews of the Diaspora as Oriental foreigners who could never assimilate in Europe. It was a classy way to say you hated the Jews without coming right out and saying "I hate Jews". It has never been used to refer to other Semitic groups.Interesting as Arabs are a Semitic group.
The Arabs in Michigan and other parts of the country really fucked up this time with their pouting third party vote.
Where is messy Jill Stein? Where is she at?
Just admit any criticism to you is antisemitism.Israel is not an apartheid state, is not a product of settler-colonialism, and is not committing genocide. When you criticism Israel by repeating these common lies, I'll call it antisemitism.
I don't agree with Trump's fantasy of taking over Gaza to make it a resort. It's just big talk by a known liar and will come to nothing.Just admit any criticism to you is antisemitism.
Like when I criticize Israel's response to October 7 as insanely disproportionate. Or how you probably agree with the Trump family wanting to take over Gaza and make it a resort.
So you're fine with students being harassed on their way to classes and you don't feel the college has any responsibility to prevent this from happening. Some may have been harassed, but nobody was really in danger.
