Let me tell you why I don’t give a shit about conservative selfishness. You see all through my youth, my meemaw and peepaw and I all shared a bed in a one room hut and we would sing our hungry tummies to sleep. But my peepaw told me that I and the friends I had were destined for financial greatness/stability if we all spent our disposable incomes on buying chocolate bars and waiting for that once in a lifetime event when a golden ticket would be placed in one of those bars allowing us to tour the factory where these sweet goodies were made and we would meet the eccentric man who owned it who was the richest in the world and be set with happiness and filled bellies the rest of our lives. 🥰

Two critical things then happened: our dentist started sending us bills and we all quickly realized how valuable healthcare/insurance was to have and, most importantly, my peepaw apologized for telling us that f’ed up pipe dream and explained that if we simply voted for democrats then we would have a society with healthcare for all without skyrocketing costs bankrupting families and if we invested modestly with a diversified portfolio then we would ALL be guaranteed a financially secure life without lifting a finger as stock returns are consistently better with a democrat in office.

Oh, boo hoo hoo. What a sad story. EVERYTHING my wife and I have, WE worked for. Nothing was given to us. Oh, my dad NEVER voted for a Republican.
