That money should go to inner city schools to help the kids of all ages that desperately need it.

Trump Officials Blame Mistake for Setting Off Confrontation With Harvard​

New York Times has one helluva scoop tonight on what led up up to the Trump - Harvard fiasco!

There is something called an "Antisemitism Task Force" charged with rootin' out any and all criticism of Israel, and also charged with doing the usual anti-DEI performative theater.

Two career Justice dept lawyers (both of whom happen to be Jewish) and a GSA attorney who used to be Mike Pence's Attorney General when Pence was governor of Indiana (a Pence guy in a Trump admin?). The GSA guy is a rabid "Born Again" Christian who insiders say bollixed up negotiations with Columbia University last month.

So the three Trump goosesteppers actually negotiated with Harvard for five solid days in the week leading up to the fuckup. Both sides thought they had made good headway on an agreement between both Harvard and the Trump regime. On a Friday afternoon, the senior attorney (not the Pence goon) told Harvard to expect a written synopsis of what they'd negotiated that week.

The junior attorney mistakenly thinks that for some reason negotiations have "failed" and has a "scorched Earth" email already drafted, dictating terms that Harvard WILL follow, and these terms are the harshest possible conditions.....He sends THIS memo, pre-signed by all three stooges, on government stationary, sent from the junior attorney's government email.

This blindsides Harvard and Harvard's lawyers over the weekend.

Harvard fires back about "bad faith negotiations" (rightfully so) and the senior attorney is clueless...his underling didn't copy his boss? Harvard goes to the press, of course, and Donald Trump, who does NOT like surprises. demands to know what the hell is going on.

Full damage control ensues. Senior attorney finds out about junior attorney's wrong email, whispers to those in charge about an "unauthorized email" and tries to throw junior under the bus.

Junior stands his ground, and engages is classic DARVO.....this email was so OBVIOUSLY a mistake that it was HARVARD'S fault that they didn't call to confirm it was legitimate, instead they went directly to the press solely to embarrass Trump.

Harvard was not allowing that bullshit to pass unchallenged. They pointed out that it was an official government document, on government letterhead, signed by government officials and sent from a government email account we've been working with all week....and it's HARVARD's responsibility to "verify the right email had been sent"?

Nobody on the "Antisemitism Task Force" would own up to the fuckup, so a pissed-off Daddy Trump decided to get involved and yammered about pulling grants and revoking tax exemptions/
