I’m so pleased you caught that! Yes, the fabric has a serpent in the garden pattern.

I have included my fave ethics books because they don’t equate desire nor sexuality with sin. They have a harm/care framework instead. So you’re not sinning in my book! 😉

I post hoping to give others some pleasure. The Lit community has been so kind and accepting and respectful about it. Definitely care, not harm.

I love how playful and unashamed people are here. It’s beautiful! For me, it’s healing.

I had not thought of Venus and health but they fit perfectly! Venus was a goddess of sexuality and was admired for it, not shamed. And embracing and sharing this facet of myself has been so healing for me. Thank you for those additional symbols!

Wow! Thought of another one in addition to those in our previous three posts. The Rod of Asclepius, Greek god of medicine, has a serpent winding around it. The serpent as a symbol of healing rather than sin! Love it! Oh, and the apple is knowledge too! Love knowledge. Who doesn't like a bit of carnal knowledge?
