I dont usually call out some of my followers/fans/friends by name except just in jest or a birthday or so, but I wanted to call out someone who might just be quitting this site...

@NakedStoryLover has been following me for a while, has been a fan and a friend, and might be leaving the site...I just wanted to say thank you for the kind messages we have shared and I do hope you see this and dont leave permanently. You would be missed, so please dm me at least one more time ok?

I'll say he's been one of the few guys who's been happy to chat and been friendly, like actually friendly and not hoping for any inside info on anyone, I hope he's in a good place, or finds what he needs to while on a break from lit.

Super sweet message. ❤️

Just found an old post of you singing (a NIN song I believe). You have a very nice voice. When's the last time you posted a audio/vid of you singing? I'd love to hear more!

As a Lakers fan, whenever I see someone walking around with Clips gear, I just kind of giggle, scratch my head and think REALLY? Itrs a fucking Lakers and Dodgers town. Sorry Clips, Angels, it just aint ever going to happen. Not only were the other teams here longer, but theyve both got quite a storied history.

I hope no one thinks poorly about the Mariners that way...theres no "competition" from across a river or whaetver like in Chicago, NY etc
As for the Padres...well...used to kind of root for them in a way, then they got cocky and thought they were better than they were, crowed far too much over the last couple of years...ya'all aint won ANYTHING.
Sit the f down.

I honestly don't know what the perception of the M's is outside of the area.

Their marketing team seems to have made up the rivalry between them and the A's. Most of their commercials seem to poke fun at them. I think it's only because they're physically the closest. My wife, who is from Oakland and very sore about the relocation of both Oakland teams, sent one is the sundials to get best friend who didn't get why they were being targeted.

Last year, maybe it was '23, we finally got back to the post season and lose to the Astros. They were all close games, but we just weren't good enough. Seems to be the running joke. No matter how good we are, we're always chasing the wild card.

I gave up following them in the mid 2000s.
Thats a load of bullshit but here ya go...happy fapping!

San Diego is small market in that they are only the 8th largest city in the USA
🤪
but yes, in the mainstream mind, you think of LA/NY/Chicago/Boston/Miami/Dallas/Houston/Phily/Minneapolis/Denver/Seattle/SF/NOLA/DC/Phoenix and some other cities first, maybe because of sports, or maybe because of the news (politics, disasters, whatever)...

As an Angeleno, you can have the Chargers back and take the Clippers back too.
I'd take Kawaii Leonard back...and although he never played for the San Diego Clippersn He is a SDSU alum and an Aztec For Life.

And I'd love if the Chargers came back. I'd get all my jerseys and hats out of storage and wear them again. As of right now, there is no NFL team I root for on any consistent basis. I have gone to a few Steelers games, but mostly because I wanted to go with the friends that were going.

Side note: I think of the Chargers as SD still.
another reason to love you, dear.

My brother and I both worked for the Chargers at different points. My brother worked overnight security. Junior Seau showed up approx 6 am, 365 days a year. Awesome dude. Have pictures of him holding my nephew from like age 4 to age six, I think. Junior always wore shorts. can't remember ever seeing him in a non-formal situation in long pants. Hell, I remember him walking from the plane to the bus and from the bus to the stadium in shorts for a playoff game in January in Buffalo! Buffalo! For a san Diego boy, I handle the cold fairly well, Buts shorts in Buffalo in JANUARY? Wow.

Seau's restaurant in Mission Valley was my go-to first date spot for years. Junior almost always came to the table and greeted people he recognized. It was a great way to impress an first date when he would come say Hi after we were seated.

The day he shot himself was one of the saddest days of my life. I'm not embarrassed to say I bawled like a baby. He was a great dude, and he always treated me with dignity and respect. RIP #55. We miss you.

1996 we swept ya'all AT Dodger Stadium with Chris Gwynn (former Dodger, Chris, not Tony} delivering the game winning double in extra innings on the season's final day. Ya'all had to win one of three to take the western title, and we swept ya. And, of course, the 2022 division series is, I terms of difference of games won between the two clubs, the second largest upset in recorded baseball history. Only the White Sox beating the 1908 Cubs in the WS was there a bigger discrepancy in record. Notice the date. Now add about 4o years to take us back into the 1800's... Sorry, but that's not going away. Ya'lls best regular season ever, 111 wins, and ya got beat in the division series by your "little brothers."

So, we may not have won a WS, yet. But we have beat ya'll under pressure on occasion. And yes, we tanked in the last two games of the DS last year. But ya'll have a single player who makes THREE times our entire roster payroll and your whiney ass manager is a former Padre and from North County.

That said, your team has some great history that I respect. Jackie Robinson and Sandy Koufax to name two. Also, the, IMHO, Best broadcaster in the history of the game. I miss Vin Scully.

yes I covered NIN's Hurt but via Johnny Cash's interpretation of it.

Whens the last time I posted audio of me singing? Uhhhh, hmmm...dunno!? Haha, there were three songs there by the way.

Thank God the Lakers didnt get him. He is a legendary talent that is never healthy.

Dude.
No one remembers second place.

You are clinging to some lame ass thing from 30 years ago? Did you win it all too? Cuz if so, theres a story.
Or 2022...did you win? No you upset us. Congratz. Did it mean anything but pride for your little franchise? Oh wait, you didnt then either?! Never have won it all you say? And still somehow talking smack?

giphy.gif

Please, at least be the Giants if you wanna talk smack and have a case.
Padres are about to go on a downward spiral and Ill be eating popcorn and watching the best player since Babe Ruth blast out homeruns for my team for the next decade.

*mic drop*

ps - all in good fun
pps - yep, Vin Scully...sigh.
