Same - doesn't help that most days I can't do tip-toes because of Achilles' tendonitis. :rolleyes: I make due w/ a grabbing tool and a stepstool.

He's paid by the hour, in cash, at the end of each day's work. Want something less informal? Around here that means a shift from "handyman" to contracting companies with contracts and much higher prices.

More and more areas/countries are limiting the number of cruise ships to an area. Also instituting Tourist Taxes. All trying to minimize the impact of so many people and massive ships to an area. Travel will be more challenging and much more expensive going forward. (Because it was so cheap and easy to begin, eh?)

And running the mower you have is always cheaper than buying new.

And we have short summers. Mowing late May to October at best. Gas is cheap in that scenario! 😂

My only gripe about the current mower is noise. I've even contemplated retrofitting it with batteries. For now, gas and oil are cheap! I own hearing protection already...
