Hey all. How about a thread not revolving around sex? I have found through chatting with many folks on here that many, even on here, are very interested in and even fascinated by the supernatural and paranormal. And I have found that even with some very sexy and perverted chat partners, and if they read this they'll know who they are, talking about these issues can be very enjoyable. So I thought I'd start a thread where people could post their thoughts, theories, favorite movies or books, and/or memories about everything supernatural and paranormal. By that, I mean everything from ghosts and possessions to UFOs and alien encounters to cryptids to angels to Stonehenge to unexplained mysteries to extraordinary human powers, like ESP.

I believe in all sorts of currently unexplainable phenomena, but I come at the field from a logical, evidentiary, and scientific point of view.

I saw a UFO once, in college, but it was just a light in the sky that moved in ways that human aircraft don't move. I've never had an experience with a ghost, although I do believe in them. The closest thing I've ever experienced to extra sensory perception were some strong cases of dejà vu, in which I remember the event and could actually predict what happened next if I didn't tell anyone I was experiencing it. I have never seen Bigfoot, but I'd give my right nut to do so.

So feel free to post anything you want about anything paranormal or supernatural here. And have a great day!

I live in a really old house and there is a ghost presence. I hear footsteps in one specific bedroom when I am downstairs while no one is home. I know they are in my room sometimes at night but it has never felt threatening. I presume since it's such an old house that people have died there so it doesn't surprise me that something/someone is there. I've had guests over who experience similar things but have never felt threatened by it.

That's awesome! Ghosts are one of my two phobias, the other one being heights. But I would be absolutely fascinated to actually have a "close encounter" with one.

I got a dream from her, and it was so vivid and a continuation from when my grandfather was dying. Of course at the time it was a nightmare bc it was the middle of the night and happened every time I closed my eyes.

Turns out, it was her way of saying goodbye to me. She was dying when that dream happened. It was during covid, and my mother was allowed to visit her. Which she was during the time of that dream happening.

Of course months later, as I was trying to enjoy a piece of chocolate mouse pie, I heard clear as day her saying please savor that for me.

I also believe ghosts exist, and that some people are capable of extraordinary things, including ESP. I think I remember reading something a long time ago about a girl that could move a pencil by telekinesis but it took a lot of effort for her to do it. Purely anecdotal and probably pretty rare but I think it's possible.

I think out-of-body experiences are real but again, I'm pretty sure it's all anecdotal evidence.

I refuse to believe we are the only intelligent life.

Oh! And I think I might have a literal psychic connection with one of my favorite gals on here. We chat a ton on a different platform, and a couple times we would be typing virtually identical thoughts to each other. Happened a couple more times, and I made a joke about our psychic connection. But it's been happening so much that I'm starting to wonder if there's actually something supernatural there. For instance, last night we were chatting, close to hanging it up for the night. I had seen a clip from The Avengers Whichever. It reminded me that I don't know what a tesseract actually is, and I was planning on looking up the definition. So as we're saying good night, she said she always listens to Tool and Tesseract to fall asleep. I've never heard of the band. But it was really freaky that we were both thinking about tesseracts.

This thread just makes me think of one of my favorite spooky podcasts. Very Coast to Coast with Art Bell vibe. It’s called Those Conspiracy Guys. 👽 🛸 🧛 🧟 👻

Thanks! I love those kinds of podcasts. My favorite one is Weird Darkness.

Weird Darkness: Stories of the Paranormal, True Crime, Legends, Lore, Mysterious, Macabre, Unsolved on Podbean. https://www.podbean.com/pa/dir-iyz4f-9bcbe

Apparently he has a YouTube channel too. Great long form podcast. About an hour. It's what I usually fall asleep to.

Nice. Me as well. I’ll also check out Weird Darkness. Sounds like a nice cross-section of investigative stories.

The ones on TCG can be deep dives about one topic and they can go over an hour. They do their research and have a nice panel discussion approach. They have a lot of laughs as well. They’re from Ireland 🇮🇪 ☘️ so kind of interesting with the accents.

Loving the sound effects of Weird Darkness! ⚡⛈️💨 Very dramatic presentation! 🎭. Good voice for the mysterious. 🕵️‍♂️ 💀

I’m a Spotify guy so was glad to find the podcast on my preferred app. 👍

The voice and delivery kind of reminds me of somewhere between Art Bell and William Shatner.

Yeah, he makes just the perfect presentation. Doesn't overdramatize or sensationalize the stories, doesn't add a bunch of his personal thoughts about them. Just the facts, ma'am. Glad you're enjoying it!

I was a huge fan of Art Bell, not so much with George Noory, but he's okay.

I have had many paranormal encounters and was an investigator for a long time as well working with many paranormal groups.

I have investigated many historical buildings and private homes.

The field is ever evolving and can be fun. For me, the best part was helping a home owner who thought they had paranormal activity and educate them how to "move forward with it", "live with it" or " how it isn't paranormal at all but a real issue that they can easily address.

Our own resident Ghost Hunter! Nice! Would love for you to post some of your experiences and encounters on here.

With private residences, it is more often that not, it has been my experience, there is usually a very real explanation that makes people think that they have paranormal activity. Drafty windows for example can cause "cold spots". A dirty dusty house can cause orbs in pictures. Bee's living in the wall can cause noises that seem unusual. And some people are very relieved that there is a logical explanation. Some are upset that they don't have activity.

I enjoy investigating the famous haunted places like forts, libraries, antique shops, prisons.
