I think some people assume that because they see something regularly (or all the time), they assume that everyone else does too. No worries, no harm, no foul... but I think the Kardasians were on tv for years before I realized that wasn't about some Star Trek fictional species.

And even after I found out, I didn't give a shit. I have zero interest in them or their endeavors. No ill feelings there, except, it pisses me off when people assume because they follow that stuff, the rest of the world does also.

I don't know what the root of that mentality is... but... those people aren't actually important, or even relevant, to much of the population of Planet Earth. That's just how it is.

I’m not sure if this is a vocab thing, but dirt bag climber isn’t a bad thing. It’s a term for somebody living cheap to climb more. Sometimes out of a car or van or camping for free. Work less do what you love more type thing. Someone might say, I was dirt bagging it. I think it’s great but
