What you left out is tariffs are just one of the steps to paying off our debt. For some reason none of the naysayers here take into account our debt will be our end if not paid off. In months we are forced to refinance 9.2 trillion dollars of that debt for no other reason as we cannot afford to pay the interest on it.

Can I say I see things playing out like this……

Stock markets down…that gives the fed room to lower rates. They need bad news to lower rates. I think the goal of all of this tariff stuff might be to lower rates. That way we can refinance our debt at a lower rate by end of year. That’s when it comes due. High interest rates with a high debt is not good for anyone.

Cause a big stir…. Shock the markets…Which lowers the rates…. Debt is refinanced at a cheaper rate by the end of the year which is when it’s comes due… stock market soars in Q3/Q4 because of cheaper rates…tariff deals get made and no one feels the pain. Lots of negotiations.

Global liquidity is on the rise as it stands now. Banks are loaning money…money is being created…which means Bitcoin rockets to new highs by the end of this year. Quantitative tightening has kind of slowed/stopped. Quantitative easing is on the horizon which means brighter days are ahead.

It’s a win win for all. Maybe I’m too optimistic. I’m always looking at the brighter side of things. Is that bad?

I see the stock market is alarming to media, but when I look at the stocks they are not down all that much. We are seeing the large funds selling off large amounts in anticipation of a low where they will buy back in.

The democrats / Trump haters a using terms like recession and crash. The only time there was a real depression in America it was caused by the stock market crashing. The value of the overall market did decrease, but the crash and resulting recession was a large number of stocks went to zero. Selling stock now is not wise but it does have value. Then there are democrats / Trump haters pointing out Tesla stock is way down. Are they going to tell us when it is a buy? It will be. It should even with the bullshit climate hoax debunked there is value in those batteries. Different kind of electricity, but if every home had a battery the amount of electricity necessary on the wire would be reduced. We would not use less electricity. Demand would be more even and we would waste much less electricity. Climate hoax debunked, I never stopped thinking conservation and preservation. I pick up after myself too. Like the Indian in the commercial in the 70's. And my grandparents and great grand parents that experienced the depression. Waste not want not. The sell off could be enough where Powell will lower rates. I think they should change him out. He doesn't seem to be on board and in the last round seemed to quote the same lies Janet Yellen did. She did us no favors and obviously if she spoke to the president he did not respond. Reading books now of all those who were likely running the country on his guise and the media now quoting he was already senile and did not make decisions.

As far as tariffs, we have been tariffed to hell and back. I can't see where any of those tariffs hurt any of those countries other than us, the USA. Canceling tariffs with an equal and opposite tariff is brilliant. I wish I thought of and could have done something about it.

I am optimistic. Quietly. I don't want to jinx it. I don't want to cause the democrats / Trump haters to think up more ways to obstruct the process. There is potential for them to do more damage than they did when they were in charge.

There is one problem with this claim. Trump also intends to massively cut taxes especially on the wealthy. So any income from the tariffs will rapidly fall off, will not be replaced with tax revenue, nor will cutting services required by the people of America make up the difference.

The final result will be the rich much richer, the middle class destroyed, and the poor destitute.

Not sure this is what you want.

Trump bailed on the 50% tariff tantrum he had today, I doubt the 25% one even happens tomorrow. Ford crushed him, and the Markets ground him up. It must stick in his craw, getting beat up by a lightweight like Canada.
